Cryptic: Make a Pirate MMO!

The ground combat of NW plus the ship combat of STO(just on an ocean surface) would make one hell of a pirate MMO. If Cryptic could get the Pirates of the Caribbean license that would be a major hit :D

I was going to mock you but. This is actually a good idea. I would play it. Only have less Disney HAMSTER. With Lucasarts dead and Telltale needing monies I say try and get the Monkey Island I.P.

I would play the BEEP outta that ._.

Ohh insult sword fighting MMO style. It would be glorious! You fight like a cow!

Im fairly sure Cryptic north is mostly made up from folks who worked on Pirates of the burning sea. So, who knows what could happen

I dunno, I think pirates are as played out an MMO concept as generic high fantasy is at this point - namely because any MMO that could potentially include pirates has done so, and it's harder to find a generic high fantasy MMO that doesn't have a pirate area or pirate themed area then it is without. That, and isn't there like 5 out there that are still exclusively pirate-themed (including a PotC one)?

That out of the way, I would be ECSTATIC to see the data that a dynamic 'learning' Insult Fight thing would generate in such an MMO. Can you imagine how often that database would have to be cleaned? Oh, the things it would learn..

    [SIGPIC]Also, this poster rambles.[/SIGPIC]

Ship battles and rocking your nickers like a pirate, these two things just ARRRRRRRR awesome. If I would get to play that kind of game, I would hop around, singing this song.

. . . . . I loved the ship combat of both Pirates of the Burning Sea and Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean. I didn't like their ground combat one single bit though. If they had NWO's ground combat though.... wow! Yeah, I'd love it! I do love STO's space combat way more than ground combat too.

    isn`t this already one ? ;p

my suggestion is to first pull up their skills before making another game.
that is, if they like the money.

Well it was just announced that Disney is closing the PotC MMO next month. Unless they are already planning on making a new and improved version(which I hope they are), Cryptic should really consider making a bid at that license.

they barley can handle the 2 and a half games they already have. and with neverwinter and sto getting most of the deving, the only way that would work is if they stopped deving on co. they pretty much have already imho.
