I would like to know WTH is going on here, about 2 hours ago, my account was suspended, for no reason that i can figure. I have had NO email sent to me explaining why. The only thing i can THINK of is something that relates to THIS thread... about spawn camping
http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?336781-Lemonade-Stand-taking-premade-v-premade-requests/page14&

Now, the exact quote that needs to be referenced here is

"Just so that it's clear, since I have received multiple reports over the spawn camping comment, spawn camping is not an exploiting or a punishable offense.

It's certainly something that may be changed in the future but while it is absolutely a cold thing to do it's not something that Cryptic will punish players for doing or the moderators will remove posts about. Generally if players get spawn camped they have already lost the match to begin with. It really doesn't gain an unfair advantage they didn't already have.

So let's not call players out for spawn camping.
Or anything else for that matter. Keep it civil, ya hear?

Fight them if you want. Ask them for advice. Or move on."

Posted by a mod. earlier today, i was in a PVP match, and i rushed their base, they all decided to stay at spawn point, so my natural instict as a blood thirsty GWF is to get there and kill them... one player cried "reported! Reported! I have screened you, you're Reported!" as this post states and to my current knowledge, this is not illegal, as they would have fixed it instantly, if they'd changed their minds... so... WTH?

So you spawn camped and were punished? Where's the confusing part?

I think they should be tossed out of spawn after ~30 seconds. You q'd for pvp to pvp. If you don't want to pvp then you don't deserve the daily, go do a foundry.

I always love these post that start off with the typical "I have no idea why I got in trouble. Except for this horrible thing ive been doing. But it cant possibly be that."

Was your entire ACCOUNT suspended or is this a Chat-Ban?

You do know that moderators are volunteers and not Cryptic employees, right?

I don't get these posts that call somthing easily doable by anyone that tries for 2 seconds cheating when devs could hot fix in less than a day but choose not too. It's in the game, deal with it until it is fixed. Why is it fair that you get your 4k AD by sitting next to a bonfire and I have to kill other players for mine?

Forum posters have no idea why you were suspended and not emailed. You have to contact support.

Well, if you took a moment and read what the O.p wrote you would have understood what the confusing part was. The O.p posted a link where it was stated by a mod that spawn camping was not an actionable offense or viewed as cheating.

Yet the O.p's issue was that they felt the reason for their suspension was for graveyard camping. So, if the Devs stance on graveyard camping has changed maybe a warning would have been more appropriate than just suspending the O.p. Like it has been stated in this thread the O.p needs to contact a moderator and explain the issues to them and see what can be done.

Maybe there is more involved than what we know, because that topic he linked it is closed and sanitized. I am sorry your account is banned but spawn camping is an exploit and should not be allowed in the game. PVP teams need a safe zone to respawn and buff and go back into the fight.

Thank you, for actually being helpful... except how do i get in contact with said mod... ( yes i have contacted customer support, though... chances of me getting a reply are ridiculously horrible)

Waiting on an email that i will get a reply from in 2- 8 weeks (8 weeks being the record for a reply on a request) is kinda HAMSTER...

Don't bother contacting a mod, because there is nothing they can do for you. They are responsible for keeping the forums clean, nothing more. They have no control over anything that happens ingame.

Yes of course you can get a temp ban if you spawn camp. Being able to do something silly doesn't mean you're allowed to. Yes, you can r*pe cinderella safely because she's asleep in the woods but that doesn't mean it's legal. :p

LOL ... you sir, make sense... BUT it isn't an exploit :) as stated. the fact that they sit there and do nothing, is an exploit IMO

As stated by a player. What if I state that it is? What if another player who happens to be a mod says to report it in a different thread?

First and foremost, that post was made long, long ago. At that point in time you could literally walk up the wall with a slight bit more difficulty than climbing the staircase in Protector's Enclave.

Since that post was written walls have been put into place to prevent users from entering the spawn area. That post is completely out of date. You should not be in the enemy spawning zone.

Secondly if you have any questions about action taken against your account do not ask on the forums. Instead file a support ticket. Disciplinary actions taken against users are private between the individual and the company.

    Thank you!

One source cited, I am sure you could dig up others showing the other side.
The fact is there are numerous instances of this happening to people, they only come here to look once it happens to them.

Now don't get me wrong the guy sitting AFK should not be getting any rewards and should be booted from the instance.

But don't come here and say I just got banned for nothing, I only did this this and this (and that being only the things you admit to doing). You know you were being a ****** just as much as the AFK was being one. Don't come to a forum looking for sympathy, if you are this must be your first mmo.

Also don't waste your time emailing support. You will just get a response in a few weeks saying 'Hi we didn't read your request but as you're nearing the end of our required time limit for how long a request can go unanswered we are just going to close it so that our jobs don't end up in limbo. But if it was really important to you please resubmit a request so that we can send you this response again in a few weeks. Thanks for the money!'
