The majority of threads about TR's have been people complaining about how over-powered it is, and demanding even more nerfs.
I would like to share with you, just how much FUN playing a trickster rogue in PvP is.
Who wouldn't want to be able to do this?

So many nerfs due to complaints will eventually hurt the class more than it should be, and the laziness of players who would rather cry for a nerf instead of finding ways to deal with it will lead to a lot of unhappy TR's. (Most of you are probably thinking that you don't care what TR's think and that they deserve it. How dare they play their class!)

I want to dabble a bit into how you can avoid the oh so overwhelmingly OP TR attacks.
  • Step one: Instead of protesting the class on the forums, head in-game and start to better yourself in PvP.
  • Step two: Learn how to dodge. If you see a shiny weapon coming towards you, chances are you might want to watch yourself. Dodging one of our lashings is a great way to agitate a TR, especially if we were in lurkers.
  • Step three: Find a way to disable us. Hold us in the air, push us away, knock us to the ground; trickster rogues do not have the best defense, unless in impossible-to-catch (sorry CWs, but you can kite us instead), so once you disable us you should be able to do a pretty decent amount of damage.
  • Step four: Practice, of course. It's not very hard once you know what to do.

Just wanted to share some alternatives that could help better your time in PvP ;)

I hate you but I don't want to see your class castrated.
I support this thread. Please balance health.

      Not possible because of class

I have a 60 rogue with a GS of 9.8K. And a cleric with a GS of 11K. If I go PvP with my rogue, I frequently get double of score points as my cleric. If not even more. I die more with my cleric then with my squishy rogue. However, with my cleric, I don't die because of rogues (although they might get a kill from me), but much more from CC of GWFs and GFs.

    What does that tells me.

    1. I wouldn't tell rogues are better in PvP as clerics, because my cleric can efficiently win the match by support the group. But playing a rogue with current PvP scoring mechanic is much more rewarding then playing a cleric, that's for sure.

    2. GWFs and GFs are real pain in PvP, if specced for it and played well

    3. See 1.)

    ^ that.

People who complain about TR are the **** players who dont want to use their brain and rather come and QQ Nerf plz i suck and cant dodge, lol.
Any class can beat rogue, its all about good dodges.
To be honest the premade that people say is "the best" on Beholder dont even use rogues on their team. (Prototype guild).

I do agree Lurkers should be kinda nerfed a bit, maybe 20% or so, but the CoS is bulls*** ...

I did a video too, watch it and understand why i think lurkers should be nerfed. I crit up to 65k on PvP.

Assassins aren't called assassins for nothing. Take it like a sniper in real life - also an assassin. You cannot dodge them, you don't even know about them, yet they know everything about you, who you are, what you do, your whereabouts and most importantly, they can get to you while you sleep. They watch you going to the store, buy your favourite cookies, all of that for the perfect moment - to catch you by surprise.

That is what an assassin is about. 'nuff said?

There are plenty of ways to avoid an assassin's attack even if they get close to you. But, usually a skilled assassin shouldn't have a problem to kill someone even after the nerfing, so we'll see.

The imbalance that occurs I don't see in the class itself, but in the items it can get for real money. That takes balance away. Brilliant Energy Enchantments and I could go on. Certain stones like perfect Vorpal, that's how they manage to kill in one hit. Perfect Vorpal I wouldn't miss at all if it was gone from the game, same for any other high rank gems.

Playing a Cleric I see a good chance in nerfing/debuffing a TR in game with Brand of the Sun, if the feat took not 5, but 10% of their crit and attack power away and would last for the entirety of the initial spell's duration, not 6 seconds, rendering it utterly useless, as at current rate, it's a waste of points, entirely, and an even greater benefit to it would be if it stacked at least three times, so took away let's say 15% crit and power for 15 seconds minimum. But, they don't see improvements like these, all they wanna do straight away is "oh, a whiner kiddo messaged us about TRs being OP, LET'S NERF THEM!".

Balancing the game by not nerfing classes, but not giving founders and similar stuff that only they can acquire (for real money again), but giving items that in no way affect gameplay.

I'm enjoying these blatant stroke my epeen video threads. Pulling out their epeen and then telling you to l2play! TR's are not OP!

    lawl
