Unlikely they'd change something like that. They'd have to give everyone a recustomization token, otherwise the community would be outraged that they'd have to pay to get these new features.
You can only fix something which isn't working to the design specifications. You're asking for a change, which I don't think is going to happen. Similarly missing implies it should be there, if they chose not to include that degree of customisation it isn't missing.
I'm not using the word 'fix' as in 'repair', I'm using the word 'fix' as in 'remedy'. I don't think it's going to happen either, but it's what is preventing me from playing this otherwise spectacular game. That's all.

There are a lot of slider things they should add they removed fingernail sliders so they can add stuff to. I think they did not add some sliders cause it wwould make their prefab armours and stuff look bad and they might not have wanted people to adjust our height specifically, give them time im sure they will add more. Im looking forwards to more hairs myself specifically the hairs you see the npcs wear in the mask the side pony and the long one,

I don't see why they DON'T add more sliders. Honestly, Aion is the only game so far that's done it right. They gave you so many choices in character creation customization that it hurts. I don't know any of you have played it, or if my reputation still exists beyond the first two weeks of the game (at one point, rumors of me were pretty commonplace on some servers, as a testament to character customization), but if any of you have heard of the Afrognome who swooned the starting area with his neon-pink afro and adorably short stature (and long arms that went through the floor), then that was me. Character customization, as I understand it, has always been a part of D&D even before MMOs. I'm not sure why anyone would approach a question about expanding customization in a D&D game, MMO or not, and ask "why should they?" ...seems very nonsensical to me.
For a Cryptic game, the number of sliders and options is pretty poor. Both STOs, and especially COs, character creators are better then anything else out there, no questions.
However, in both of those games, gear is generally invisible or fairly uniform. Meaning character meshes can vary pretty wildly without effecting gear, or causing it to clip excessively. This is Cryptic's first time where visible gear is front and center. I expect its fairly difficult to get clothing to layer over character meshes, especially if said meshes can vary considerably. Clipping and texture distortion would be hard to avoid. It seems they went the simple route by limiting character options.
This is not something I expect to change anytime soon.
Well, CO's gear is costume, so... Not sure how it fits in.
But, yeah. The customization of NW is astonishingly poor, from avatar to character ability.

Keep in mind in CO costumes replace the body. They arn't a mesh that layers over it. Its why on some bugged parts you loose arms and such, because there is no body under them. There is also considerably less detail so warping and deforming is less noticeable, however, still prevalent if you adjust the sliders to extremes.
NW seems to avoid that, by being more restrictive. All the races share the same skeleton. They are all pretty much identical, with the main difference being scaling tweaks. Humans, half-elves, and half-orcs are all pretty much the same body. Full elves are the same but slightly reduced. Halflings are the exact same human mesh, only half scale. Dwarves seem to be the only real exception, being halfling scaled, but stretched wider, at least for the males. And as such have the most issues with distortion and clipping.
Short of major changes to how gear is layered over the character meshes, I don't expect this will change. I expect we will continue to see new races that use the same default humanoid skeleton as well. Anything radically different, would all but require a modified duplicate set of every gear item in the game to fit over the new race.

I'm here because I want to play, and I had a concern. And it's "for one tiny little thing" to you, but not to me. It's an OCD issue, and you just putting it off as little makes you look like a Richard cranium.
If you're concerned about your character's height being limited by torso length, just make their legs longer instead. Thankfully the scaling is sane so you can max out most sliders, like leg length, without looking strange.

Also, there must be SOME flexibility in meshes -- check out Foundry. There's an 'advanced editor' mode for costumes that _does_ give you far more control over the body. And in most normal cases, the armor fits just about as well on edge cases as it does normally.
Heck, even when you've made 10 foot tall stretched out gumbies, it still looks decent.

Edit: STO took out that ability not too long ago. I wouldn't be surprised if this game did as well.

Keep in mind in CO costumes replace the body. They arn't a mesh that layers over it. Its why on some bugged parts you loose arms and such, because there is no body under them.
