When I get a purple chest I would gladly pay the $1 at the time for a key and open it while Im playing....BUT since you made the Tarmalune Bars character bound it benefits me to mail them all to the same character and open them on just one character to get the bigger TBar rewards.
Please make Tarmalune Bars Account bound so I can open them at my leisure no matter what character Im on.
Your getting my money and they are my bars so let me use them on the character I like.

I agree. It's annoying that I have to make a mental note of which character has bars, so I can pool them there, instead of having some be uselessly bound to other characters.

It seems a quite logical thing to do. It's not like there's a limit on how many boxes you can open on one character or anything.
The only thing I can imagine is it was easier to code that way.

Them being account bound is a good idea. However there is one problem, you can't mail the few the account bound items that exist so account bound is the same as character bound at the moment. They need to also add an account bank so we can share account bound items.
Wouldn't matter if they did. You still wouldn't be able to trade them to your other characters.
The game has no way to transfer anything account bound but AD. The mail system can't tell if you are mailing them to yourself or someone else. So anything that is labeled account bound (like the XP scrolls from Caturday) can't be put in the mailbox. And they haven't added in a shared bank yet.
If it was just a matter of flagging them account bound, sure. But since they have to design/code a means of trading account bound things in the first place... I just don't see them doing it. Not till later when they get around to making a shared bank for us.
^ Awesome idea, in my opinion. The more we are allowed to transfer between alts, the better. Some things would also have a positivie effect on trading, I think.
People change "main characters", you tire of one class or simply find a newly created one more to your liking, and having important things - like tarmalune bars - bound to a char you no longer play, isn't very fun. I think it would add to the longevity of the game to have more freedom like that.

Well, if they gave you the ability to transfer them to alts, or your main, then you wouldn't need to buy more keys to open more boxes, to get what you want. If they are stuck on your character, and you really want something from the tarmalune trader, you have to buy more keys with zen. More profit for them. They don't care at all about the player, and what they want, unless it makes another penny for them.

Seems like a sensible idea.

On a more serious note, aye.
Won't work since even if it were account bound, you wouldn't be able to transfer it.
How about just making the bars completely unbound?
