I just started working in the Foundry, and I still don't know how to do a lot of things, but one thing I can't figure out is how to make a child NPC (just a normal human kid). I couldn't find it anywhere in the Costume list, and I tried using an adult model and making it look younger, but it still looks like an awkward, short adult. Is there something I'm missing? I remember doing someone else's Foundry quest a few days ago and seeing a little girl. Thanks, and sorry if this is a dumb question, I couldn't find an answer anywhere.
Yeah, some of the female models end up making ok children if you scale down their features...the male models (even the 'lads') look incredibly freakish, though.
I just resorted to making all the children in my current work really little so it was hard to pick out the detail of their grotesquely old faces.

It's pretty funny seeing an 8yo with sideburns that Wolverine would die for.

You can always scale an NPC down in size. I've made young Mind Flayers for my quest doing so.
For regular children, just scale down the size, then go in and make some things bigger like the head, arms, and legs. Use the young or cut complexion. Also if you really want to get into it you can change the nose size, eyes, etc.

Okay, thanks guys. I'm using halflings, and so far they look okay. One other problem - when I'm on the Map and I'm trying to place things, as soon as I start to drag it, the icon appears way lower than it was. Then, after I drag it, it appears way back up where it was. Is there any way to stop this? It's making it a lot harder to place things where I want to.

I've only ever seen this happen in passing and it usually goes away pretty quickly. I don't know of a way to make it stop at-will, though.

Generally they won't let you use children costumes because they don't want you to be able to kill children in quests. It's hardly the only game that does this.

Now I wonder if, had I kept the missions, they would have faced problems due to that.
