Access to Guild Officer chat

How exactly can officer's in a guild talk to one another in officer chat? There are guild permissions to allow access to officer chat and when I log on the game it says I am connected to the "zone" chat, "guild chat" and "officer chat". I am an officer in my guild and none of us officers can figure out how to talk to one another in the officer chat.

Don't think /officer is working in guild chat. I've tried /officer and when I hit space it goes poof. Normally if you type /whatever for a channel, the moment you hit space it switches to that channel.

Well, I don't know exactly how to get the officer chat to work. but you could always create a channel for it in your chat options if you wanted to make it work yourself.

You have to go to options and enable officer chat first. Then it's /officer.

    Try /channelsend officer message?

This worked for me. Totally awkward and inconvenient, but it works. If you keep "/channelsend officer" in your paste buffer, it's usable.

Err, isn't it /o? Saw that in a command listing thread.

This is a pretty shameless bump !

I think it was fine to leave this little bit of development for a while and to be honest in guilds that I have run I have found that the less officer chat then the happier the guild seems to be.

However with the coordination needed for GG I think we now need a shortcut for the long command /channelsend officer.

    Over to you Devs !

Make sure you have your officer chat enabled.

    type /channel_join officer

It looks like a public channel, but it doesn't seem to be. It must use your guild tag as a flag. Not sure, try it out.

Type /chan officer is only way for it to work for me but my officers found a lazier way even though this still does not work for me not sure why. Press ALT then in the chat window where you type, click the balloon and look for Officer, from there it will stay there. :p
