My Cleric build

Hello,

First of all check these movies to get an impression of my DC, especially the second one is worth watching (made it myself and I am proud of it!).

Just a quick look on my DC:
  1. 25th of July 2013 Dracolich: http://youtu.be/PftxX-ay0Gw
  2. 26th of July 2013 Castle never: http://youtu.be/OWXmfIZy8m0 (really worth watching this!)
More movies will follow.

I am not going to devote a lot of talking about the mechanics and choices I made, since there are a lot of other threads discussing that. I used several guides/threads and picked up from everyone a little bit (mostly Deistiks critical build). I just wanted to show my build which works pretty well for me playing as a Cleric. I am geared Best in Slot (BiS), so yes everything works, but this is the best playable way for me.

I use the following specs:

Class Feature
  • Healer's Lore (+15% healing) / Holy Fervor (more AP) / Sooth (less threat) / Divine Fortune
  • Foresight
  • At Dracolich I switch to Foresight + Prophetic Action when the adds are gone. Since the hands hit pretty hard Prophetic Action will safe you from one hit at least every minute if the dodge fails. If respec I definitly go for 3 points in this, but first I am waiting to see which other paths will be given to the Cleric when Feywild launches (if they add them at least).
  • Sooth: no it won't stop you from getting adds but it does help to survive if you are having a hard time with it.
Daily
  • Hallowed Ground
  • Divine Armor
At Will
  • Sacred Flame
  • Astral Seal
Encounters
  • Sunburst
  • Astral Shield
For the third one I switch regularly:
  • Forgemasters Flame and Healing Word, just love those two but the last times I played i prefered Healing Word since it triggers the MH set everytime you use it. And when slotted with Divine Fortune it gives you a lot Divine Power.
  • Bastion of Health: I only use this from divine mode as a back up and if needed followed by divine armor when the health drops really fast (also triggers Linked Spirit).
  • Divine Glow: Hallowed Ground gives you the same damage buff and resist buff, with this you add (if it stacks...?) another 5% to it. I use this when the party won't need aditional healing then Astral Shield and Sunburst.
  • Prophecy of Doom, not really fond of using it but **** this gives a lot of Action Points when casted correctly (fastest dying mob). Can give you a 100% uptime of Hallowed Ground, but in the hectic of a fight you might not be able to get the correct mob picked for casting it on. It has a long cooldown, so this is not my first choice.
I read a lot of topics about Linked Spirit, but the reason I use it:
  • For example when it procs at best my power goes from 6045 to at least 7200, whats not to like about that. And all the other stats also scale up. You can manage a 100% uptime of it when using Sunburst followed directly by Divine mode (so you wont push). Just make sure everyone gets hit by it and your party gets a huge boost in stats.

In my opinion if you get this up 100% of the time it makes the use of a 4/4 set much more attractive then a combination of 2/2 + 2/2 sets which gives you 2x +450 stats.

I have put down a picture where you can see it proc compared with my base stat when hitting the 3 dummies in Trade of Blades. Remember this lacks 1 party member, so it can be higher. It can skyrocket even more if the party uses buffs too.
Gear:
I made the choice to use the Miracle Healer 4/4 instead of the 2/2 Miracle + 2/2 beacon or whatever combination people use. When reading a thread (yeah blame me..the link...) that shows Miracle is at max able to heal 8-14% of your heals. Well I think thats more worth then every +450 stat. And then the question: why would they make a 4 set piece bonus if a combination of 2/2 + 2/2 is better. And since Linked Spirit makes up a lot I would say go 4/4. The extra +450 also aint that much extra when you are geared BiS because of the deminishing returns.

Enchants:
  • I use radiant / azure for extra power and critical. As for defense I use Azure and utility: dark enchant. For the weapon the Vorpal enchant and Soulforged as armor enchant.
Companion
  • Ioun Stone of Allure stats focused on getting more Power
My Rotation
  1. Make sure your Divine bar is filled before starting any dungeon (hit the dummies in Trade of Blades)
  2. Walk towards a group of mobs, if possible near a cliff, so the CW can push off easy
  3. Put down Astral Shield (divine).
  4. Use Sunburst and when pressing the hotkey followed directly by Divine mode = procs Linked Spirit (again: make sure it hits as many party members as possble)
  5. Get as many Astral Seals up and hit with Sacred Flame. Stay in the blue circle, but try avoiding red spots which can be hard sometimes.
  6. When Astral Shield ended and you see the health dropping below 75-80% use Bastion of Health in Divine mode. As for this skill, same as Sunburst, get as many party members in the circle since this also procs Linked Spirit. Or use Forgemasters flame.
  7. Cast Hallowed Ground as much as possible! Or divine armor when the need for temporary health is required
  8. Keep casting Sunburst when it comes of cooldown followed bij your divine tab.
  9. Is your party in no need for extra healing slot Divine Glow and cast it from Divine mode on the biggest cluster of mobs and if possible with party members in it.
  10. When slotting Healing Word also use Holy Fervor

Yes it happens that you might Tab too much so you accidently put down a yellow Astral Shield, don't bother keep playing.

Any tips&tools are welcome, I am not a pro playing 24/7 but I do play often :P! So be nice and put a normal comment or don't comment ;).

What's sad and breaks this game for me is that with you being BIS geared out your group can/will still wipe on easy T2 dungeon's unless they are also geared out. /sigh
