I've got a Great Weapon Fighter, Trixter Rogue, and Guardian Fighter, but my favorite so far is the Control Wizard. It seems to just suit my play style better than the other classes.

My CW is level 42, he's got one blue item, and the rest are all HAMSTER greens with no enchants. He does moderate damage, but the control factor is what I really like: timing chokes, push-backs, freezes, and deciding when to unload the offense is serious fun for me.

With the other classes in PvE, I'd have to be 2-3 levels higher than the quest requirement to successfully complete upper-end quests for areas (usually the final boss NOT including the 5-man dungeon crawl). With my wizard, I can handle most quests either at the recommended level or one level below.

For PvP, I struggled with the other classes; mainly ran in & picking off low health players by just mashing buttons. With my wizard I seem to play a more effective team member; contributing to crowd control, holds, and supplemental damage to score a kill.

I can't wait to get to level 60 & fully geared plus enchants - I bet the fun will get even better! :p

I ****in love my CW too lol. don't listen to the trash you hear on here from all the other CW's that can't play PVP. It is possible do own in PVP with a CW I do it all the time. And if you look in the thread, Calling all premades, there's another CW that's really HAMSTER in PVP, I think it was Pwn Star. What I'm tryin to say, is when you get to level sixty PVP is probably going to be really tough til you get good equipment, but keep lovin your class because im almost always in top 3 of a pvp match.

I'm glad your having fun dudes. I absolutely love my CW as well. An absolute blast in PvP and PvE. With all the dodging we have available you can avoid alot of incoming dmg, not much a person can do when you get 100% locked but pray, but everyone dies in PvP eventually so its no biggy. Long as your havin fun =) I linked a fiew videos of some solo Q pug pvp, nothing to special, but I do alright and its fun to watch videos =-)

I generally always use the same set up for PvP. If its a GWF/GF heavy group I like to swap out Icy Rays for Shard of the Avalanche, alot of cw's say its HAMSTER but I think its very affective against tanky builds, and does decent dmg. If/when you get a knockdown with it, Entangling>burst dps afterwards and generally by this time the player is near death, and if you have a good team its game over most of the time.

Cool videos. I'm liking the damage you were doing. You seem to move around the battlefield like I do - "Stick & Move"!

    Thanks, glad you liked them.

A standing still CW is usually a good way to end up dead, gotta stick and move, specially with all the sneaky rogues wanting to fist us =P

Level 60 sucks. Everyone is a crybaby and will quit pvp, dungeons and skirmish for no reason. Very few people seem to actually like playing the game .-.

I don't know, if a game has you grinding your teeth in uttermost despair 9/10 of the time- maybe it's time to look for something else. It certainly serves no purpose joining PUGs and whine.

Guilds might be better, but unless I know someone fairly well, I have no interest in such commitment to one group.

I started leveling a new character recently, that was what prevented me from quitting all together. Though, it would probably be good to quit sometime, can't play this game forever..

LOL, welcome to your first MMO, thinking at top level pvp will get easier.
Just for a thought, where do you think that the ratio of pros and p2w gamers vs "normal" gamers will be highest? Hint: Its not level 1...

PS: It sounds more like you have a crush on "the midgame pvp feeling" and I really doubt it translates into love, when time and experience accumulates...

We'll see where it goes. If it's fun @ lvl 60 for me (PvE & PvP alike), I'll stick with the wizard. If not, I'll do a different class. I really enjoy this game; it's still fairly new so there is lots of potential. But, just to let you know - I intend staying with it for the long haul.

    xD
