Anyone else find Guard mode glitchy?

I use Ctrl to enter and hold guard mode, but i often find it a little glitchy, i be holding ctrl and left clicking and i be doing my typical aggravating strike, then suddenly with no reason at all i start breaking out into cleave animations, even tho guard is still at least half full and i not released any keys, i often have to release ctrl and re-apply... tried it with different keys but same issue.

    And I thought it was just me with a lazy finger on the shift key. Noticed this behaviour yesterday but put it down to lag or my finger.

    This may have something to do with some of the mechanic being server side to prevent an earlier exploit. But guard has been a bit wonky for a little while.
    The right to command is earned through duty, the privilege of rank is service.
