Shadow weaver set!

Does shadow weaver 4 set bonus affect only allies or also affect ourselves

    Both allies as well as yourself.

    It procs for you too. Sometimes I even see it on bosses.
    BTW, HV is better.

    Translation ? - Yes , though it doesn't suck , so if you have two CW's in a group VR'll DPS better with the second CW in SW ,

    The first part of your translation is wrong. Should be:

    Nope
    Shadow weaver is the best set for Control Wizards atm.
    The 4 set bonus > all set for CWs
    The set gives power, crit and recovery and defense. Best stats for a CW
    Even the 4 pieces of SW combined would give you more defense than HV 4 set bonus would.
    Not to mention the extra stats that the SW gives along with the 4 set bonus.

    if you have 2 wizards with HV sets they do stack it make whole group do exceptional dmg. If both wizards use steal time at same time. damage on boss goes up to unbelievable numbers. i critted with indomitable(gwf) for over 55k on one mob. so 2 high vizier wizards are much better than 2 shadow weaver wizards or 1 and 1.

    I have both a full vizier and full shadow weaver set and i personally find SW better for me. Trying to determine or state which one is better is totally pointless imo... your build and spell setup plays a big part in how each one performs.

    I've got both sets and mostly run HV for PvE with a Tharm build.

    Think whatever you want, I run full HV and I eat SW CWs for Breakfast in PVP :D
    (I have all other things, like rings, amulet etc.. for Power, Crit, Armor Pen and Recovery of course)

    1st - There are dimishing returns
    2nd - Glass canon was never the best build..

    I am more then willing to group for a PVP to demonstrate :)

    Aand yep, also this.. You have to build your char around it.

    maybe you have to build your char around it but still HV is much more usefull for entire group damage-wise than SW.
