I've played the entire way up as Tactician Spec, with various encounter combinations of Lunging Strike, Frontline Surge, Into the Fray, Enforced Threat, and Knight's Valor.
my main Dailies are Supremacy of Steel (I love this skill), and Fighter's Recovery.
I'm considering changing to Protector spec when I hit 60.
I'm concerned that I'll miss the charge range and interrupt of Lunging Strike(which was quite useful for getting back to the boss after being knocked back), and the damage buff for Into the Fray.
However, I started using Knight's Valor and I'm really enjoying the combo of Enforced Threat, KV, and Supremacy of Steel. but as Tactician spec, I'm not sure I'll have the mitigation to take the damage from KV in level 60 dungeons. thus the consideration of switching to Protector.
also, I was pretty underwhelmed by the additional Action Point generation from the Tactician Capstone. I don't feel like my AP generation suffers too much without it.
on the flip side, I do want to do a little bit of PVP here and there, and Tactician is pretty good for that, I'm not sure how well Protector spec will perform in PVP.
so yeah, I am considering switching full-on to Protector, or some sort of Tactician/Protector hybrid, if that is even possible.
There are two great specs for Prot/Tact just shop and around and see which one you like. I personally either have Threatning Rush or Lunging Strike on my bar depending on the dungeon I do at 60.
Sadly if you plan to PVP in any serious way then you will have to think about Conq spec since it is all about burst damage and who gets the first CC chain off.
Using Enforced Threat, Knight's Valor, and Fighter's Recovery allowed me to tank Blademasters during the Spider Queen's 1st form for a full 30 minutes, because our TR had garbage low damage. Tactician has the only feat that lets you gain extra action points from getting attacked while you use Cleave and Fighter's Recovery. This means that you can almost infinitely have Fighter's Recovery up, as long as you're taking hits and dishing out hits. This further extends to improve your suvivability with Knight's Valor to give even more action points(KV fills like 50% of your action bar with each cast during a fight).
I have tried Protector. The feat to Supremacy of Steel looks tempting, but the debuff only lasts 2 seconds. The end feat is pretty underwhelming, because the previous feats are to help you guard better. Since you're not really supposed to be using Cleave, you can't apply the debuff very often/fast. You also quickly start to notice the loss of Action Points that you had relied on from Tactician.

So you feel you have the Mitigation to stand a heavy dose Knight's Valor? or you use FR to make up for the Mitigation you don't have?
personally, I don't really care about the Feat for Supremacy of Steel. even if I switch to Protector, I probably won't take that feat. I use it as a passive aoe threat monster. Enforced Threat -> Supremacy -> Guard/Cleavex6 ->Supremacy secondary. works pretty well for me.

I only use Fighter's Recovery for heavy aggro boss fights or huge mobs. For everything else, I use Supremacy. I survive just fine, barely ever dropping to 50% HP.

so then my fears of lacking mitigation are a little overblown then...? that's really the only reason I was considering a switch. I really love Tactician spec. it seems to be the midpoint between the DPS of Conqueror and the Bunker of Protector. but i was really concerned that I wouldn't be able to take the damage in epic instances. especially if I used KV.
do you use Ferocious Reaction at all? I haven't changed my Class Features since i got Enhanced Mark lol.

Instead of relying on damage, you can use Knockback effects to interrupt the heal (animation continues, but she doesn't heal).

Ferocious Reaction and Enhanced Mark. I have Ferocious on just in case I drop low on health, which usually only happens if I'm suddenly knocked prone and jumped on by every mob there while KV is up. It takes a lot to kill me, but it's always good to have backup.
I'm pretty sure this doesn't work anymore. I used to use my GWF's Roar all the time to stop her heal, but it doesn't seem to work anymore.
Odd, Bulls (it does say Knocking, vs Pushing on Repel/Roar)works for me (or something else interrupts), since she never heals in our group. But maybe something else interrupts her.

The key to surviving KV is having a group smart enough to occasionally move out of aoes.
