Improving Companion AI?

I did a search, but didn't see anything mentioning any official word about any future improvements to Companion AI. I play a Guardian Fighter and my Cleric Companion seems to really dig standing in fire/poison/electricity/death until she decides to take a nap.

I'm not necessarily wanting a system where you control every aspect of what skills your companion can use, but even just something as simple as a "Move here, stupid" button or where the companion gets out of AOE after initially taking damage.

It really depends on where Companion AI is processed, if it's processed on the servers of the player's PC. I really hope the latter as I can't see the servers having enough processing power to have particularly advanced AI for companions.

I don't know how a companion could avoid a telegraphed attack entirely, but at least getting out of AOE after getting initial damage would be great.

i really wish the companion AI (mainly the cleric) would prioritize healing me instead of launching pebbles at the friggin boss

I surely hope not, everything that is not tied down, secured, encrypted or otherwise in any way or form located on the client side, will be hacked.

I think cleric does heal you whenever healing skill is off cooldown.
