Timeout during login, timeout during login, timeout during login.
Because timeout during login, timeout during login, timeout during login, timeout during login, timeout during login, timeout during login, timeout during login, timeout during login.
And timeout during save, timeout during save, timeout during save, timeout during save.
Also server not responding, server not responding, server not responding.
In conclusion timeout during login, timeout during login.
Cryptic, this is the number one reason why I don't give you money.
Granted, this doesn't happen all the time on the Foundry servers. But it happens quite a bit. One minute everything is fine, the next timeouts left and right. Now I wait for the fans to flame me.
For the fans: my connection is near perfect. Low latency, route to all hops fine even pinged by 3rd party software continually every 100ms for a minute, and no jitter to Cryptic servers. It's a server load problem, Cryptic's fault, if I had to guess. It's just authenticating me, it's not moving massive amounts of data or anything.
It is a constant problem for me. 99 out of 100 are timeouts.
On the other hand, that's why I gave them money. Because I like the game, especially the foundry, and I'd like them to have the budget to improve my experience even more. Maybe I'm backwards that way, but it seems like money is all about creating a mutually agreeable interchange. How are they going to improve the servers without money?

I would support them by giving them money had they not treated us like this. If they can't provided a reliable, reasonable service then they don't get my money. If the servers didn't have these issues I'd have no problems supporting them.
If I give them $20, $100, $200, or whatever, there's not guarantee the Foundry servers will get any better. In fact we could throw a ton of money at them and that probably wouldn't solve the horrible service. It all comes down to...
Cryptic has given us no communication or even acknowledgement that this problem exists, and bug reports seem to be pointless.
So why would anyone in their right mind reward a company for doing that?
Well, I haven't been around long enough to know that it's been an ongoing existing problem for a long time and they haven't fixed it.
However, I wonder how much the foundry was ever intended to be part of the game at all. While I am liking and enjoying it, it seems clunky and not intuitive. More like an afterthought than a feature.
If it IS an afterthought, it's a great one. If it's an intended central feature, then it's a rather lame one, lol.

^ This.
Only other MMO Customer Service/Liaison I have seen this bad is in Silk Road, and even Solk Road used to respond, they used to say, basically, "Ha, we have your money, tough doo-doo", but at least they would respond.

Or, as I'm thinking, they took an internal quest design toolset, stripped it way down, put it through some testing to get the netcode "running" and shipped it. They clearly don't put a lot of resources towards fixing feature-breaking problems at this point, but hopefully it will improve.
I have been getting this alot not so much last few days but it was realy bad very anoying
Over this last weekend through yesterday they've been getting worse.
Monday, the 1st of July
5 tries to launch the Foundry editor until I got through. Every other time was a login timeout.
1 out of every 2 preview modes was 15 to 90 seconds of server not responding. And 5 seconds or less is hidden from our view, so who knows, it might be lagging all the time.
Every single toggle from edit to normal mode during a preview was 15 to 90 seconds of server not responding.
1 out of every 20 (estimated) restarts in preview mode led to a server not responding delays.
1 out of every 3 saves led to a timeout.
Cryptic, this is getting tedious. After I finish my first huge Foundry quest I won't be making any more until you correct the server issues.

I've had lots of those too, here's a partial workaround that works for me at least most of the times. When you timeout, exit, relaunch the client, get a character in game (don't enter the foundry), change character (you can bypass the 15s timer), at the load screen go into the foundry again. Conversely, trying to load the quest in the foundry repeatedly will seemingly throw you into a timeout loop so don't do that
And yes the 16 hours currently publishing is a pain!
