Pvp'n my way to 60, choo choo!

For those of you unfamiliar with the title, you get it once you score the most kills in a PvP match 50 times.

SilWYk9.png

Good, but there's still a big one to get.

(Note: Cryptic, I'm not sure if adding a few letters to the UI of Neverwinter falls under your "ever-so-small" budget, but could you maybe add like..a couple I's? Thanks. ^_^)
lRSSwYb.png

Race: Human

Stat Roll: 17 STR (18 from first free point), 10 CON, 10 DEX, 10 INT, 16 WIS, 12 CHA - I put points into STR and WIS as I level.

Skills: This is currently what I'm running, obviously some things will change as I level up more.

Encounter Loadout 1: Prophecy of Doom, Forgemaster's Flame, Chains of Blazing Light
Encounter Loadout 2: Prophecy of Doom, Daunting Light, Chains of Blazing Light

I alternate between Daunting Light and Forgemasters Flame depending on how I see the enemy positioning themselves, if they tend to bunch up a lot I use Daunting Light, if they're spread out more I use Forgemasters Flame for the slow and more reliable focus fire. I also switch between the two depending on how much I'm getting focused, Forgemasters Flame is obviously going to be good for kiting purposes and preventing people from escaping.

Class Feature/Passives: Holy Fervor and Terrifying Insight later on.

At Wills: Lance of Faith, Brand of the Sun

Daily's: Guardian of Faith, Flame Strike.

> Again, many of these will probably change as I get closer to 60. <

Answering any questions you might have, note that this is a PvP build and I ONLY level up from PvP.

you really should fill out how you building your cleric and post the link.... http://nwcalc.com/dc?b=p8c:4zikv:5yv3,1cir305:6u000:60000:bzu51&h=0 , also which stat rolls you chose and where you are placing your points into (str, int, wis, etc.), and what stats you go for on your equipment and which powers you slot for PvP

Game is totally unbalanced as you level up... balance swings left and right... at some levels as cleric you can hold a point against 5 people indefinetly at other levels you might as well not exist. I actually think cryptic's code for making everyone same level is totally bugged.

Build is nice - post again when you're 60 I wonder how you'll fight against cryptic's purples.

It's actually more balanced as you level up because you're less likely to encounter people with BIS. Everyone generally has the same gs.

Oh, and with this build you cannot hold anything by yourself lol, unless its a 1v1 situation. You have to pretend you're playing a cw/glass cannon type char.

Yeah, I'm familiar with the pvp landscape at 60, my GF has 14k GS, this is just an alt I'm experimenting with.

I'd really suggest using chains of light and sunburst together. You need chains of light to freeze your opponents and to cast on the ground when running from them, also to prevent their movement towards a team member. Sunburst with divinity will clear everyone off of you and your team by blowing them back, it is also the only truly effective defense against being stealth killed by a rogue. You guestimate at their attack and blow them off both you or a team member if they are about to jump them. I prefer healing word after that as it can set off my abilities that need heals or critical heals, it does help heal me up and it really saves my team especially if I revive them and instant cast a divine heal upon them. In group fights it allows me to better keep our numbers up. Guardian of faith I haven't tried much, but I'd replace it with hammer of fate at level 60 as flame strike can be used to kill off a number of opposition at once if they have been beaten down already, but I can see how guardian of faith could potentially get your health back.

leveling can be -extremely- unbalanced, transfer some AD from a main char, buy a gloomwrought crate (what was that, 10k AD?) and hope you get a weapon out of it. if you get a little lucky you suddendly hurt twice as hard as anyone else around you.

Are you going CRIT/AP for gear?

I'm prioritizing like this: CRIT > POWER > AP, I currently have 30% chance to crit.

A few things, this is a PURE DAMAGE build. The closest playstyle to anything I'm doing in this game is CW. This is a glass-cannon, high-single target damage focus. I'm not running into the middle of a fight, I'm not healing anyone or even myself.

If I wanted to do a hybrid build of a mix of healing and dps, I would do that. But I'm not, this is a pure nuker/dotter.

okay, I must admit I love running into groups and nuking the place and either trying to wait for team support to show or trying to blow through to get to the next node that I hope is not defended. ... For high-single target damage I'd be slotting break the spirit.

This is an alt, I'm only lvl 39. Don't have access to that yet, but like the post said, many of the skills that you see me using now will be subject to change as I approach 60.

It's like people don't read here or something. My main is a 14k GS GF (see my sig) I know what pvp is like at 60, especially against the top players. Thanks.
