    Stone or Cat. After a certain level, companions can and will explode in fights.

    They can't wear the same amount of purple gear you can and can't dodge. This means it's better to have a buff pet, since they never die and improve your abilities passively.

    Appreciate the response. Pretty much gather that it's either an astronomical AD cost on the AH, or fork over real world cash. Being that I don't have an astronomical amount of AD, and ain't willing to fork over $30-$40 for a non account wide companion...pretty much seen all there is to see here. A shame, but it is what it is. Best of luck to y'all.

    That's f2p for ya, lvl 58 and still cannot afford a respec, that's ridiculous.

    I have a purple striker pet. It can get to 30 but I generally prefer the level 15 free cleric. As long as she survives her heals aren't based on HER level but MY level and she is great at keeping mobs off of me for a second or two.
