Other Paragon Paths?

Way back in Alpha there were actually different Paragon Paths for the different classes. Sometime around the start of the closed Beta testing these were all simplified down to a single "choice" for each class in order to reduce the variability in builds for the purposes of balance testing. At the time this was done it was a 'temporary' adjustment with the expectation that the other Paragon Paths would be added back in steadily over time during the course of the Beta.

Well we are now LIVE and there is no sign of them... not even on the Test server. There's even set armor that modifies abilities that are Paragon Path specific so it looks like the lack of choice with respect to Paragon is getting locked in to the base game.

When can we expect to see these?

My guess is they were having huge balance issues. Just look at how stupid it is to pvp versus rogues in max gear and enchants with full stealth builds. You're dead without the rogue even coming out of stealth in two hits.

While it does seem that the game has some balance issues, the lack of Paragon paths need not be directly related but may offer potential solutions.

The base system of two loaded Daily Powers, 3-4 loaded Encounter Powers, 2 Talents and 2 At-Will powers should allow greater flexibility in the creation of new and interesting abilities and paths that represent specialized build concepts.

Ideally there is an 'ability budget' that dictates what sort of things a Daily Power can do versus an Encounter Power that also ties in the number of feat points necessary in a given tree in order to augment that power and thus control the potential synergies. The things that are possible now SHOULD be possible, but only if a player had access to more simultaneously loaded powers than is possible for a single player and/or access to more points than you could achieve.

I feel that some of the "really cool" things that the classes are able to do now exist only because abilities that should be part of two different Paragon builds exist together in the same build because someone thinks that a given class should be able to do X and Y and hasnt taken the time to put X and Y into seperate paths.

It's called an "EXAMPLE" to support a point. Am I wrong? Is a full stealthed rogue one shotting people good PVP?
