Gear score and stats dbupdate not immediate ???

I had a couple of strange DB Update issues recently which I wanted to ask about. Yesterday I was dying my gear and my gear score went from 11379 to 10895. I logged out and back in twice and it did not update back to the 11.4k. After a few hours I checked it again and it was updated.


The other day, when I hit 60, I upgraded my gear (spent way too much in the AH) and my stats would not update correctly. After a few hours it updated correctly and I had a much higher Recovery, power and crit than initially displayed with my new gear.


Does anyone know what is going on???

    Probably just lag. I am one not to trust Gear score though, seen so many bad players with high scores, as well as the game wanting me to upgrade into an item that isn't best for my class..

    I'll tell you exactly what happened , there was a cleric near you who gave you the Divine Emisarry buff ( increased defence etc etc ) which lowers your GS immediately . Go head roam around at the Prot Enc. and when you see a SKULL in your buffs under your character icon - look at your GS you'll see what i am talking about .

    EDIT : I think that the devs might want to look at this issue and maybe fix it ?

    Had the same wird GS thing yesterday, got on CW, 10.9 is my GS, but it showed 9. something ... I was like WTF? But after a few mins, it just changed back to the 10.9... I didnt look for the skull, so maybe that was the same issue. But now my question is why in gods nam would a spell decrease your GS? Shouldn't it be the other way round?
