No, some time Next year Cryptic may turn this feature back on ingame. As it is right now, my cat collects dust on my Cleric which is where it will stay why I head back over to World of Warcraft and get ready for patch 5.4.

You can unbind your pet with AD by first making it idle, then posting it on AH, then canceling.
To make it idle, either press the "make idle" key or move it to your inventory (it will go into the idle companion tab - hand icon).
Then simply drag it to the AH as you would any other item. It will ask you to pay an unbind fee in AD. (Make sure to set the buyout to some unreasonably high price so it doesn't get ninja bought.)
Then cancel your posting. (You will also end up losing a small posting fee.)

That's a negative - just tried this with my alt's common quality bone dog, and it did not work.
I haven't actually tried unbinding, but I know you can get the prompt to unbind for AD with these steps:
1. Make the companion idle
2. Go to your idle companions inventory
3. Drag the companion item to your main inventory tab (the backpack icon, top left of inventory window)
I don't want to waste AD on trying to unbind something I don't want unbound though. Maybe someone in this thread wants to try?
Yeah, I really hope they fix this. I feel very ripped off by buying a Ioun stone of allure, only to find that unbinding your pets is broken.
That's the last I spend on this game until they fix this scam.

Seems like an easy thing to fix. Likely a money making ploy to frustrate you into just buying another companion for another toon instead of waiting for them to fix it. I know that I originally bought an ioun stone on one toon to level up, then planned on transferring to my main toon. Wouldn't unbind, so after a couple of weeks, I just bought another ioun stone from zen store. That really burns me up. The only thing I can think of is that they are still trying to track down some cats or something and don't want them moving accounts. Total speculation, but again, it can't possibly be that hard to fix as being able to unbind companions is the intended system in place. They just need to make that "ok" button actually work when you click it.
