Is there some kind of conflict with AVG antivirus 2013 and this game?

The other day I got AVG and ever since i have been having issues with game. i keep getting disconnected, huge rubberband issues, and insane lagg. And the only thing I can think of is this AVG having some sort of conflict with NW.

There is an option to turn off 'resident shield' in avg.
    Try turning that off.

If the game runs smooth again then its avg.
But if this fixes it then dont forget to turn it back on everytime you go on the internet.

Im using avg with no problems.
The only time i get lag is when there is a windows update incoming.

I forgot i have rubberbanding in channel 2 and channel 8 in the city.
    So try changing channel first.
