I have played alot of games and this is getting to be the most anoying.

game has such promise if it had some decently skilled developers. they have taken so many short cuts.

you can't even duo effectively because two chars same level same race same class don't even get the same quests from the same guys.

half way thru a series you relize you both don't have the same quests and guess what you can't share them cause that would require extra codeing that there to lazy to implement.

the longer I play this game the more it feels like a half assed lumped together game developed by amatures hopeing to cash in on a good idea but lacking the skill to actualy pull it off.

I didn't have any problems when I was levelling with 2 other friends.

Except for this 1 time when 2 of us had an item in our inventory that gave a quest, but the 3rd person somehow never looted it and couldn't do the quest chain. That kinda sucked, and I hope Cryptic never does quests like that ever again.

I had it happen, where I was duo-ing and we didn't get the same quests. At first, I thought it was because we were different classes. Then it happened again and I thought maybe it was because we were different races.
Honestly I don't know why/where/when it happens. But it is certainly inconvenient. Eventually I found it best to just skip those that weren't in common.

Exactly. It's not poor design, its unique experiences for different races/classes. Man, its funny how little people know about game design but still act like they have the slightest clue.

Oop -I need to be careful or my pointing out that the OP has not a clue what he is talking about will end up with me being called a fanboy.

WRONG! Was soloing in a area when I went to pick up some new quests. A friend logged on so we grouped up and guess what?!?!? Another quest was available after I invited him to start a group! An no it was not a group quest! I also leveled up another character to 60 of the same class and race. Guess what?!?! I didn't get some of the quest I got the first time I got to 60 on that class and race! Lulz at the guy posting after you as well. "It's funny how little people know about the game design but still act like they have the slightest clue." Try harder defending this broken game.

The amount of blindingly obvious coding errors I've seen in this game is more than any other I've come across. Also they are the sort of errors that would show up if the the code had been tested properly even ONCE before being released.

It gives the impression that the people working for the company must hate their jobs and just not care about they work they put out.

A unique experience would be having more than one home town, more than one starting path, maybe, a different look ..or different things to strive for depending on your class or race. *sigh*

Really? You really think each lvling experience will be different? ....

Don't know why you think I'm blindly defending anything as I'm offering facts as a clarification. If you want to see the list of race and class specific quests they are starting to be noted on the list here: http://neverwinter.gamepedia.com/List_of_quests

(starting in Blacklake for example: Tiefling only: http://neverwinter.gamepedia.com/An_Active_Investigation )

I believe what may be happening here, is that both might be true. Perhaps there are supposed to be race or class-specific quests. But it's so buggy that what players actually experience is very different.

Then I sincerely apologize. I missed the part about same class/race as well. I've leveled a couple of characters and the one I levelled with my brother, we never had issues with different quests except the ones that are race or class specific. I've also noticed times when I would have access to areas or be able to get quests while grouped that I couldn't get solo but I figured that was because they were meant for groups.

I may have been wrong about that so I will not jump to conclusions so fast in the future... but I've seen how much effort goes into creating these types of games and to say these developers are lazy or incompetent is a little frustrating. It wasn't the mention of bugs in the game that bothered me, it was the insulting of the game creators. Every game has bugs because there are thousands of thousands of variables that can cause a minor glitch, fix one variable and it might break 3 others. There are ways of reporting bugs without calling the developers lazy or unskilled.

Curious question, but why have two of the same class and race for a duo? And to help shed some light on the problem, what exactly is the class and race in question?
