Happens to me as well. As soon as the system event "portals have closed" comes up my client freezes indefinitely. I have to end the program manually in the Task Manager. Not sure if an auto-generated bug report is sent as the "what you were doing" dialog box does not come up. This has the consequence of not getting rewards for the contest
Visual FX (drop to min)
Shader Quality (drop to min)
Problem solved
Unless you are running on a very weak comp this will work because the end of the event has a major graphical pull from your comp and it siezes up to try to render it all. The 2 things i posted above should stop the problem on most machines but if your comp is having the problem on min graphics anyway there is not much you can do.
That's not a real solution though. Something is wrong deeper in the game. My machine can handle this game no problem, runs much higher end games fabulously...it's just this game that does something wrong. Maybe they're using SoE's engines...

Game freezes at event close and I can see all the loot on the ground but cannot pick anything up. I relogg and nothing is there. Happens EVERY time... so far have not received anything at event end.
