$=====> I want to be a Jedi Knight <======$

Hello Everyone

I've been Following some builds recently and I noticed they all deal with Ice, Chilling, Freezing. Kinda Boring, I wanna have some Fun and I wonder if there is a build to become a Jedi Knight without chilling involve for endgame? Was having fun with Repel and Entangling...

Anyone have tried Jedi Knight build recently?

I would like to work around:

Magic Missiles
Entangling Force
Arcane Singularity
Oppressive Force
Repel
Shield
Sudden Storm
Storm Furry
Storm Pillar
Steal Time
Ray of Enfeeblement
Maeltrom of Chaos

Storm Spell
Eye of the Storm

What Features and Paragons should I maximize if I wish to become a Jedi Knight?

I think you are playing the wrong game... Check out Star Wars Online.

    Nope

It's only that people didn't talk about it much because Freezing, Chilling is an easy build from the Start.

However, if u look further at the build around 30-40+ you have access to some nice Electricity, Lightning Strike, Steal Time, Repel... like Sith Lord have.

Eventualy, someone or myself will come up with a new build to Try instead of the old and boring Stun-Freeze build.

I just Foresee the Future like a Jedi :-P

I hope some people will join the Dark Side or the Light Side in near Future...

Obviously don't go oppressor, then it depends on your playstyle and the content you would play. My opinion would be renegade for solo/pvp (self buff and thaumaturge for dungeons (debuffing enemies for party).
But don't be fooled, we are all jedis regardless of our feats !

I've watched the Power and Features u've set, it looks interesting.

I will try to build a second wiz with Jedi Force....

Thank you for the Link mate

The VAST majority of CWs, probably close to 80%, play Renegade. About the only staple Power in the spec that does Cold is Chill Strike. Other than that it's Magic missile, Singularity, Shield, Ray of Enfeeblement, Sudden Storm....
How is it that you have come to the conclusion that everyone is playing with Cold powers? Oppressor Tree is by far the worst of the three. No offense to fellow Oppressor's :P

Somehow I've got the feeling you're joking about the build but then again.. We're all dreamers :o

In case you're serious I'm sure you either have no idea what you're talkin about or you have not read the available guides thoroughly.
As it has been already said here, all renegades tend to avoid chill wherever and whenever possible and there are quite a few guides written and easily found here.
All you have to do is follow them and simply refuse to use Chill Strike and Icy Knife as most potent damage dealers. You'll be known as a Jedi in the matter of days. And should you somehow devise a way to be No.1 on all ranking tables in game you'll embarrass every wizard out there, though I have a feeling that won't be the case. There are reasons why writers of them guides chose the set of skills and feats to complement their choice. The reason usually being "The Math"

Another thing that made me believe you never read much here on forum your choice of skills. You've mentioned a few that have been hated by many here in The Library and many times proven useless or rendered futile by other (better choices) skills. I can see the idea you had when you came up with the list, that much is obvious. But I don't think the Jedi status would yield enough cool factor to compensate for the potential phail performace.

All in all I'm always for an unconventional breakthrough lifestyle that has anything to counter the daily routines and minimize the boredom that somehow always takes over... But this my friend won't cut it. Mostly because it's a stupid mmo. So you're not really allowed to build your character to your liking unless you like what others expect you to.
My guess is, your build would loose some minor control ability and some damage output, and glancing of the setup you were suggesed I can't spot anything you would gain besides the Jedi status. Tho that would be  as hell!

On final note don't be discouraged by what I've said here. God knows I don't find any of those guides satisfying and I alone am experimenting with everything available at the moment. You should do whatever you believe will float your boat. In case you're serious about this maybe we'll get a new addition to emivo's list. Till then, may the force be with you!

If you are in for "unconventional" yet extremely satisfying, check out my new build. I am on Dragon shard. If you think it was a waste of your AD to respec and try it, I will pay you back the cost of respec :P

Fine Print: To qualify for a refund, you must agree to run one T2 dungeon with me and show just 5% more damage by the end of the run. If however you end up with 5% or more less damage, you would owe me the same amount of AD :)

Oh Capticone :D I just read your guide last night and loved your insight. I've been preping a list of questions I was about to post in your guide :P

But let's not derail any further. I'm no longer looking for a guide anyway! What I need is peoples opinions on feats and detailed elaborations of how and why they use specific combinations. That's why I believe even a Jedi knight might find his place in Neverwinter :D

Thank you for your compliment. I totally understand what you are saying. That is why in the first few sentences I clearly stated that this is NOT a guide. Like you said, especially for players running T2s, they dont need guides. They just need different perspectives and maybe some theocrafting. But to list all the Encounters/Features/At-Wills/Feats on yet another wall of text seemed a little redundant to me.

Yes, let me build another Wiz caracter because I can't afford the Respect skills and Features with my main Wiz.

So give me 2-3 days to level up this new Wiz.

Lets meet at pvp after that :-P
