  If you buy the HotN it will be the same account. It adds the HotN content to your already existing account.
  As for the 5 day early head start it was for the beginning of the "open beta". It means nothing now.

  It's up to you to decide if you want to spend money on it. I did (I got suckered in by the advertising) but I am not regretting it.
  
  The debuff perk of the renegade drow is pretty decent, the spidermount is fast (but big) and the panther companion is a decent striker.
  For me, the 2 million AD was more than enough to buy the gear I couldn't find or get myself.
  
  So for me it was the package deal which was account bound, not character bound.
