Provided they could find a place to put it, it wouldn't be quite simple. Just because they haven't done so doesn't mean they can't or won't do it.

Of course, if they also fixed the issue with companions not despawning properly, the area around the mailbox wouldn't look as cluttered.

Or how about having a mailbox in every zone?

Or why have the archaic notion of a mailbox at all? We can open mail from everywhere...but have to physically go the mailbox to retrieve an attachment...not very well thought out.

How hard is it to get on your horse and ride to the mailbox?

    Seems too hard?

Hopefully they will add more hub cities. Or allow us to create custom guild halls / quest hubs in the foundry, and all merchants and mailmen to our own maps.

A mailbox at every zone camp would make sense. At the moment we have a 'postal courier' who never takes the mail anywhere! If they keep him like it is, they should call it a 'left-luggage office' instead :/

LOL we have the choice to Role-play AH, Foundry etc. or simply TAB the key up above - but we are forced to Role-play the Mailbox!!

I thinks maybe the devs are trying to stop us from having free storage space (and it is their prerogative if they do) and from say for instance running out of healing pots etc... in a Dungeon and just opening up Mail Box and grabbing the stored ones.

So I see both sides - but maybe they could make it bought from AH (armour, weapons etc.) in a TAB - but others like potions etc. that could exploit storage - go to the specific spot.

More mailboxes would be nice. There are plenty of spots they could put one in, and maybe even one at the start of zones.

If you want to pray, just throw down a portable altar. AH can be accessed from anywhere by using the auction broker icon at the top of the UI.

Also most of clutter around the altar is companions from people logging in to pray and then logging right back out, leaving companions who didn't despawn.

    I have to agree here

I do wonder why they didn't add a postal box to each zone (obviously with other observations, this just aint one of those threads).....

It isn't like postal carriers didn't exist then, whether it was carrier pigeon or humanoid delivery, there were always messages and mail being sent from one part of the world to another

Seriously, wouldn't this be a little like if there was only one mailbox per country irl?

Just make one campfire in each zone the main, with whatever you want to add to it, mail being 1, obviously :)

Nope I honestly hope they keep it this way, there has to be reasons to come to protectors enclave from the surrounding zones, hell they should have had all the merchants there with one or two wandering merchants in other zones. When they add West Harbor, The rest of the Merchants Quarter, The park district then they can place Mail boxes there for the surrounding adventure areas. Until then it's a smart move to leave it as is.
