Rerolled from a 53 GWF, I'm 16 now ...

It kind of boggles my mind how big a difference it is

I, literally, kill three times faster

I take less damage

I have better mobility

I have better cc

I can dps while stealthed, while also building stealth in combat, which also breaks aggro temporarily

I have no downtime

I use zero potions

I level about twice as fast

It's absolutely insane

Any reason to go back? Seeing as how I could *theoretically* level the GWF from 53 to 60 via crafting in case there are dailies I want to do on him ...

The TR is a strong dps class. Especially in the beginning. Once you get in your mid 30s, you'll chug potions just like a GWF. Also, with the new patch update, sounds like GWF are only gonna get better. The real question you need to ask yourself is this. Which class do you personally enjoy playing more. That is the class you should play. Regardless of damage.

There's no possible way to chug potions faster than a GWF... I leveled my GWF to 40 until I got frustrated and rolled a TR, and also noticed a huge difference. I've reached 50 in about half the time as well, and rarely chug potions. I pretty much permastealth using my current build, and just default attack my way to victory. I suspect things will get better, but i'm shelfing my GWF until they do.

So what, you expected to use more potions on a class that has stealth features?
Also, there is a class balance coming so you might wanna check the class changes.

I read the notes, they don't address the core issues of the GWF, it's just lowering some DPS cooldowns, upping damage, and some quality of life changes with things like cc immunity on certain abilities, damage immunity while charging, etc

gwfs can become monsters with certain specs at 60 (their insane hp pool, tankiness, and tenebrous). At lower levels they are complete garbage though.

At higher levels, your TR will appreciate the GWF's ability to wipe out all the weak adds in a couple of swings, just as your GWF appreciates the TR ability to cut a tier 3 or higher mob in half in a few hits. The most frustrating and dangerous thing to my TR is a group of 10+ wimpy but hard hitting trash mobs. The most frustrating thing for my GWF is a dumb tier 2 or 3 trash mob (think, enforcer etc) that takes forever to kill if you do not remove your aoe skills in favor of single target encounters (if you do THAT, you have a poorish TR alternate that is no good at either job).
