Quick post....

Exploiting talked about everyday nonstop in open chat.

1. LFxM (Insert Dungeon Here)... Fast Run.
Translation:
LFxM (Insert Dungeon Here)... EXPLOIT

2. The first question in every party asked: "Everyone know the shortcuts?"
Translation:
"Everyone know the EXPLOITS?"

Are there ANY LEGIT groups out there? Its so bad that even outside of DD they do these so called "fast runs". It is one thing to be bypass mobs by hugging a wall, or cutting a corner. That is normal, nothing wrong with that. But to use holes in the map to use the /stuck command to jump Campfires? Come on, really?

Players are advertising exploits via Live Stream, and using the Neverwinter Forums as the platform!!

This game is destroying itself from within. I'm sorry, I hate to post something like this on the Official Forums. But, it seems the only way to get the message across anymore.

Dear PWE / Cryptic,
YOUR community of players are trying to tell you something and it is MORE than just a dull game or UnBalanced classes. Please, if this is beta like you say it is you should be patching a fix to every exploit the second it is known.

In a TRUE beta, open or closed, servers should be expected by the players to go down for fixes more than a routine bi-weekly. bi-weekly is for games that have launched. Stop letting this stuff ride its course. You are allowing the game to eat itself to death.

v/r
Hestral

P.S.
To help PWE / Cryptic in their, what i hope to be, endeavor to stop these exploits I am providing you with a link to the most up to date exploit Forums HERE

Speed runs are the standard for every experienced group.

Knowing the trick to get to the bosses and skip as much trash as possible is always a requirement.

However their are only 1 dungeon that is truely being exploited which I hate running and do not do it. SPIDER
I am amazed PWE has not fixed it yet. A few rock placed in the right spot will fix it. That or do what other games have done to fix the issue. If you fall 'X' distance you die... though this will probably not fix Spider.

Other maps there are mini jump puzzles and hidden passages I think PWE put that there intentionally. If not... I assume they will leave them there because they are creative and its amusing when people die because they miss a jump :) Not to mention they are really not that much of a short cut.

So it is alright to run pass the first boss in FH, jump the wall, destroy the 2nd crystal to open the door, and train all the way to the end? That is not a speed run, that is exploit.

You are also saying that running through Karrundax, dieing at the wall past the 1st boss to spawn at the camp fire way ahead is intentional? I think not.

These are not speed runs, they are exploits. And it is quite sad that it has become acceptable by the gaming community to do such things. If you do not know these exploits, you are shunned by the party. If you do not execute them properly, you are shunned by the party. If you ask to complete the dungeon legit, you are shunned and booted from party.

These so called "speed runs" are part of the reason MMOs are becoming far removed from MMO and more "Who can exploit the fastest". It ruins the purpose of dungeon running and reflects negatively on the company that produces said games.

They became acceptable when said dungeon content became a joke (which was from the start).
