Equipment Appearance Alteration

I thought that I read on the forum that you could change the appearance of equipment that you have...I would like to use the cloak from the Catastrophe Weekend, but with the stats from my current amulet, does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks for making a terrific game. I haven't been excited about a game since NWN2, but after 6 years, it got a little old. I'm ready for new classes to try!

    You can make any item look like another of the same type. Right-click your current amulet and choose "Change Appearance". The Change Appearance/Dye window will appear. Your current amulet goes in the box on the left. The Caturday cloak goes in the box on the right. It'll cost some AD to make the change. Then, in a few levels when you get a new amulet, you can put your NEW amulet in the left box, and the old amulet in the right box to transfer the Caturday cloak appearance to the NEW amulet.

    The item in the right box will be destroyed in the process (so you can't make a bunch of amulets look like the Caturday cloak, sorry).

    Edit: Now that I think about it, I suppose it's possible that some items can't be used in the appearance change - maybe the Catastrophe Cloak is one of those.

    Unfortunately, if the item is bound to you, you can't use it to change the appearance of something else.

    Which is really F***ing stupid.
