Update: Finally eligible for daily quest, thank you all! Please drop by with your quests though, I'm still doing review for review
Hi everybody! I've been working on my first ever foundry quest:
Gavin the "Lucky": Prologue and I feel it is starting to become less of a messy disaster, so I'm seeking reviewers. The story is very simple, the atmosphere is a bit silly but the encounters are pretty hard so I'd suggest bringing a friend and/or stocking up on potions.
Quest name: Gavin the "Lucky": Prologue
Shortcode: NW-DEZSTNUT7
Recommended players: 2
Playthrough time: Approx 15 minutes
Type: Hack n slash with some stacking and a(n) (un)fair amount of boss mobs.
For every review I'll review one of your foundry quests, and if you bring along a friend who reviews as well, I'll bring a friend(s) to yours in return.
Happy questing!

Played through your quest with a friend of mine and we both really enjoyed it. The environments were really nice, and your use of effects set the mood quite nicely. The dialogues were well written, though at times I felt that they were a little bit too longwinded. The monster naming conventions and models were well chosen and the key encounters were made memorable by good preceeding dialogues and fitting environments.
Also, you must tell me how to address the player by name in dialogue prompts!

The dwarf appealed to me more. Nasty elves.
First off; the bad stuff. I was a little confused at times by the environments you chose for the story. I found myself going through a town hall with traps and angry dwarves(got stuck in there too, had to exit out of the foundry and go back in)? A crypt full of elves and cats with skippable boss monsters? A nitpick of mine is also monster placement. It's fine to leave it up to the player to decide why some monster are placed where they are and what they might be doing there - but I felt it was a bit hard to justify the dwarves huddled up in a small pretty much empty room together(near the entrance at town hall) and the elves chilling in front of the entrance and what seemed to be a throne at the crypt. I also didn't really understand why we entered the neighbourhood through a sewer grate?
That said; the story was fun. The narrative was clear and the dialogues is where this quest really shines and you managed to make the characters really come to life. There were some good laughs to be had, though I couldn't help but hate both the guys for being ******s
The tavern was a fun and natural environment and the streets of the town were nicely decorated.
Ended up deducting 1 star for lack of environmental detail and a strange choice in maps, and another star for the random traps in the town hall and critters in the crypt.
3 stars for good narrative, fantastic tavern and good laughs

Good story that really moved me. Ran through it with a friend of mine and we both agreed that the environments were really nice. I chuckled a bit at the freestanding doors
The encounter vs. dialogue ratio was well balanced and the fights were not over the top. Will be recommending this one to the rest of my friends for sure!

You are someone I can look to for inspiration.
Best foundry quest I've played so far. I loved every aspect of it. The story was fantastic, the dialogues were fun to read, the characters were well defined, the quest objectives were used in a way I'd like to see more of. I loved that the rat was a rat! The environmental details had me going through at a slow crawl just admiring them and the effects were awesome. The visual effects to describe the pungent nature of the main objective made me laugh the first time I saw it!
The bad part: A woman died and nobody seemed too upset about it except me... The Nashers played disposable role and the commonroom fight happened in much too cramped a space.
5/5 And I hope you never stop making quests.

Played through both parts of your first campaign and felt pretty good coming out of it. The difference between your first and second quest clearly shows a huge improvement both in the storytelling as well as environmental details. The combat was well paced and the final fight was quite challenging.
The multiple choice was pretty neat, though I haven't played through the other selections yet, but I'm adding them to my todo for a rainy day.
4/5 - Fun for solo play, though I'll probably bring a friend when I go back just for the final fight.

Funny and quite brilliant the final battle with the surprise attached. As I also wrote in the brief review in game: one of the best dungeon crawl played until now.
I didn't give you 5 stars only because I would have appreciated more fragments of plot, but four stars are not bad at all

Thank for the review, much appreciated. I admit I went with a pre-made template for my first foundry because I felt I should learn the basics of placing encounters, making dialogues and such before making more advanced stuff. I'm glad you liked it, and I left a review ingame as well as in the OP.

As for the animals, I just thought it was funny but it has confused a few people. I took some out but have an idea for a small story element I might add to add to explain their being there.
I've got 6 or 7 quests lined up including yours, and will go through them over the next day or two.

I was laughing from the outset.. (no spoilers)
Dialog was hilarious with intelligent mob layout.
Really enjoyed it.
I managed to solo it lvl 35 Rogue.
Lots of potions and stealth retreats, but managed it.
When I hit the final loot chest the review panel came up as I moved and it disappeared..
They really need to fix that..
Anyway, will play again with a later with my posse and get some reviews going on for you.
Really did enjoy.
Much appreciated! I'll get some guys together and run yours in return

And the final battle was HARD. I solo'ed it, died twice and got drunk on potion, but it provides a rewarding ending when you finally defeat them. Definitely recommended for 2 players although it can be done (eventually) by one. First foundry quest I've played where the ending truly felt like a Boss Battle. Well played, sir.
