BoA - Why doesn't it work?

For Caturday, I received an EXP boost thing, that is BoA.

Why can't I trade it to an Alt that is on the same account? Isn't that the very definition of BoA? Why even have the wording there on the item if it acts exactly like character bound items?

- Kimm

Edit: also, why reward people with an exp boost when 80% of the people affected were 60 already? :/

I'm guessing they rushed the packs out without doing a QA check.

Either the "BoA" tag is incorrect or the item is internally flagged improperly.

Mine are sitting in the mailbox because I don't want to add junk to my inventory.
Hopefully, if they ever get caught up on tickets perhaps they will have time to look into it. But trust me, I will not be holding my breath on it.

Did you try to open the pack with an Alt? I'm thinking that might work, but I opened the pack with my main, and I can't mail out the EXP boost....

No, several people mentioned in other threads that the BoA Exp boost cannot be mailed from their 60's to alts.
I have not opened any of my packs.

What I read in another thread is that the other Cryptic games BOA items have to be transferred through a shared bank. Something about the mail system not being able to differentiate between your characters and others player's characters. But that kind of leaves us out of luck since Neverwinter doesn't have a shared bank. (At least not yet.)

Like another poster said, it could just be flagged wrong. Or maybe they do intend to give us a shared bank at some point. Would be nice if they let us know.

Problem is that there's no account bank - so there's no where to PUT BoA items that your other characters can access them. (can't mail BoA, because mail can go to anyone, it's not account locked. And the bank is character specific.)

Hmm, I guess you'll just have to think of BoA as "Bound on Acquire" and not "Bound on Account".

Ok but glaring oversights like this don't help the games' case ... I know this is a Beta, but when you are aware something doesn't work like it 'should', soft-delete it from the DB so people don't have to see it, and then re-instate it once it's coded properly.

Kinda like the quest trail in Mt. Hotenow. Makes this game look like it was developed by Mickey Mouse Industries.

Eh, they'll add a shared bank eventually, you can bet on it.

For a 1000 ZEN you can get 5 shared bank slots!!! ...but srs I would pay $10 for shared bank slots. Especially if it will allow trading Companions and/or Mounts via characters on your account.
