15% Laugh? Oh! You were serious, not good devs. To get me to buy zen you will need to do two things...that is triple the amount of zen we buy in order to play your "free" game, gem fusions, bags, bank space, etc, etc, or cut the prices of you Zen store by 75%, before your pretend launch.
I have the disposable income, one reason I bought the package I did, however, I also feel the developers are way out of touch with the community when it comes to paying for things and at the very least, whomever is making the choices to set zen prices needs to be sacked. Heh.
There is no worse feeling in the world than the moment during an argument you realize you are wrong.

This is a PWE sale not a Neverwinter sale. The only sale that might not be for all their games is the lockbox key sale and that is for all the Cryptic games. PWE sets the prices for items in the C-Store not Cryptic. Neverwinter developers might create items in the C-Store, but they have no control over their prices.
Personally, I would have gone for a 25% more sale for half the time, or a 50% more sale for the duration of a week, or even just three or four days. I think you would have gotten more sales and people would have been more incentivized to participate (which should be top priority for a bonus percentage sale, where the number of participants can dwarf any sacrifice you make in each sale), and it would have more than made up for the deep discount the publisher was making. 15% over the course of a month isn't likely to incentivize players who are on the fence (or on the other side of it). I think it'll be a nice bonus for players who were going to make purchases anyway, but what are you really gaining there, PWE?
But hey, that's, just like, my opinion man!

or you know. you could enjoy this game without ever buying zen. I wont be participating in the event. I have no complaints about zen prices as there is absolutely nothing I need from the zen market. don't need a bag and have been 60 for a month. all you need is a guild bank.
The problem for me is that the things in the Zen store simply cost too much, especially when they are only good for that one character (bags). I just can't justify it, and I really am enjoying this game, and would love to support it besides the founder's pack, but the cost versus benefit just drives me off from buying any zen.
(And this is coming from a guy who spends quite a bit on Warhammer 40,000.)

if your talking about support, you shouldn't care about the price because the more it costs, the more support they gain. complaining about prices is only effective when you are talking about something you need.

Of course I'm talking about support in the additive sense. If I wanted to 100% support them with my money, I'd just write them a check. Complaining about prices is effective, even when it isn't something I need, it's called me not buying it. I'm voting with my wallet. They'll get the picture or they won't.

That's my point. and why I don't buy anything. the companions are too costly. I don't need them but I want one. I wont complain about it but I don't like it. and that's just me. I just took his tone of complaining about 15%. atleast its something.

I agree with you voting with your wallet. What I didn't agree with was the "you could just enjoy the game without ever spending Zen on it" remark. That had nothing to do with price gouging. That was you saying that you had no plans to ever pay for anything and you were encouraging any and all readers to freeload.
Hmmm, now just imagine what would happen if we all took your advice? I guess they could just run the game for us on pure charity and warm, fuzzy altruism? Or would they shut the game down because it wasn't profitable any longer?
When you're voting with your wallet it definitely helps to speak your mind clearly so they know exactly what the heck you're voting for and about!
OK that isn't how "voting with your wallet" really works usually but hey, General Discussion was made for griping!

the problem with the zen offering is the exchange rate to ad which is also down to 350... if it was up to 500 again and i'd get a 15% discount i might think about it
By the way folks if you're feeling lazy you can buy those cards online and get the code emailed to you minutes after purchase. You don't have to go to the store.
If you want another way to buy stuff online, go to the grocery store and put a bunch of cash on a VISA gift card. Those work just like credit cards online.

We'll keep this one going for a while longer. Many of us would love lower prices (I know I would!), but remember prices will be set, and fluctuate based off of supply and demand. PW/Cryptic can only charge what we are willing and able to pay.
Whether they would make more money lowering or raising their prices, are decisions PW/Cryptic makes. Hopefully whatever they decide in the future is profitable and allows the game to prosper for many years to come.
It's good to get feedback like the type we're getting in this thread, but please, don't attack PW/Cryptic reps directly as it will accomplish nothing (as it will simply be taken down).

this deal is stupid for non us for several reasons - we can only purchase zen in eur and only in certain amounts...and you can only buy these cards in usd in certain amounts...in the end this might not match and you might end up with not enough or too much of the card leftover to buy the zen and therefore get a much much worse deal then when you buy without the discount...
