The BETA to launch Questions

1. Well would the characters and items be deleted when the game launches

2. Would the zen bought be refunded or would everyone loose it if there is a full wipe

3. Is it worth putting all the time in the open beta . Or just gonna be a waste to time and money

4. Would there be new shards at launch or these one's only

    1. No.
    2. There will be no wipe.
    3. See above.
    4. Less shards than there are now, not more. All will be merged into one.

    This isn't an open beta. New users can't post, bug reporting doesn't work, there is a cash shop, there will be no reset. The game has been released.

    That's up too you ultimately, but there is currently no wipe planned.

    They're actually planning to merge the shards at some point and run it on the same single server system as they use for CO and STO so it's unlikely that there will be any new shards added.

    This is not beta lol. They can call it beta all they want, but that is just a crutch. When sever wipes are no longer and option and revenue is generated, it is launch. They just call it beta because it is incomplete and buggy as hell, but calling a <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font> a tulip won't make it smell any better.

    2. Nope, because no wipe. You'll keep what you have.

    3. If you like the game, you can play it. You won't lose anything you earned.

    4. They want to merge current shards so there probably won't be a new one.


    Hence I really don't know when they will stop calling it Open Beta nor whatever has to happen before they do so. Can somebody tell?

    3. No, you are just wasting your time before the wipe.

    I would really love to know how close we are to all being able to play together on the "Super Server" I have heard so much about.

    Nothing will happen

    They will strike "Beta" out of all the webpages

    People will still cry over balance, Zen pricing, Broken AH, etc and there will be no more threads on wiping after beta ends

    Threads will change to "This is unacceptable as this game is now LIVE"

    I like the term Soft Launch. Knowing Cryptic, when this game goes Official, there will be a big Event. What kind? Woof, could be an invasion just like in the Opening Cinematics, or a huge party with gifts, etc. Maybe even all of the above. ;)
