Dragon/Mindflayer/Beholder Server - Official Trade and LFG chat channels

Hey guys instead of spamming zone chat to trade or lfg, Join a official trade/lfg channel.

Type /channel_join NW Dragon Trade - to join trade for dragon
and /channel_join NW Dragon LFG - to join lfg for dragon
or
or /channel_join NW Mindflayer Trade
/channel_join NW Mindflayer LFG
or
/channel_join NW Beholder Trade
/channel_join NW Beholder LFG

To post in these channels, use the button on the bottom left to select one. To modify their colors or turn off zone chat, press the cog in the upper left hand corner.

I created the dragons ones, and we got lots of members already . I encourage other servers to create ones appropriately named too. Also create friendly descriptions and messages of the day please.

Owners of the other servers channels posts here and i'll put your names in, so ppl can message u if the motd or description should be changed.

    This is wicked cool. Shutting off Zone chat is basically my 1st move in any game heh.

    Does this mean I need to replace the ones in my Custom Channel Guide? The Dragon Shard ones and the general Trade one already have a user-base.

    They are mis-named and we already have more users. Also the first time I message in both of those, I was met with profanity saying something about them being for their guild only, so not exactly a friendly user base.

    So yea do what you want with your guide, but I would suggest you include these more correctly named channels instead. This game isn't neverwinter nights, and including the server name is necessary as channels are not only cross-account, and cross-server, but even cross-game.

    I wasn't aware of that for the two from Dragon server. The others are properly named, but lacking in population. Some of the channels are deliberately Cross-shard named.

    Great stuff, it would be nice if the made this into the game itself, but for now lets hope people will start using this for LFG and WTS chats so Zone chat can be used for what it is meant :D

    I was wondering why there isn't already pre-defined and in-game select-able chat channels for LFG and WTS stuff. I'm sure Cryptic and PWE have enough experience to know the value of this.

    When I first started Neverwinter I hunted all over for LFG and WTS type options in the chat preferences so I could create my own tab in the chat window at least. Then I went to Custom Channels but all this has done for me is create a channel with 1 memeber, never join me to an existing one (so must be server specific as noted earlier and the channel was created on a server different than mine).

    Just a heads up their are both the Trade and LFG channels now up for Beholder.

    To Join type

    /channel_join NW Beholder Trade
    /channel_join NW Beholder LFG

    ps: Anyone know a slash command to type in these? atm i can only do it via setting upa specific window, or bottom left button to change channels.

    With spaces in the channel name, you might have to type it as "Channel Name" for it to work right.

    No i've tested it, no quotes needed.

    Still searching for a way to chat in these with / commands tho if someone can figure that out.
