GWF Destroyer build with CON instead of DEX? Possible?

I'm level 17 right now and I've planned out a destroyer build, but as far as abilities go, I'm currently 19/17/12 (STR/CON/DEX), and wondering if pumping dex the next 50 levels adds that much damage over the survivability of going mainly CON for my secondary ability score.

Everyone recommends DEX in the guides posted here, I just don't see how much increased critical strike can help in either PvE or PvP - can I make up the dex with +Critical Strike gear instead?

    I keep my Dex and Con equal. I'm thinking of respec'ing and pumping it all into Con to see how that works out. Honestly without knowing mitigation numbers for bosses it's all a guessing game at this point. But this much I can tell you:

    If you jack up your Con it would behoove you to focus Crit on your gear. Conversely, if you focus Dex you should focus ArP. Until solid numbers can be figured it's best to not focus one at the expense of the other to avoid gimping your output.

    I'm going to max STR/CON and try this combo of encounters: Roar, Daring Shout, Battle Fury and see how it works out for destroyer build. I don't think there's a timer on switching out encounter powers so I'll have to see if I need indomitable battle strike or whatever else later on after I level up. I get the feeling the three shouts together should be effective for a destroyer/unstoppable build.

    i'm also taking armor specialization feat (15% added defense) and the steel defense(?) the one that gives you 20% power based on your defense as heroics for the synergy there. I'm not sure about the other synergies yet as I'm only level 17.

    thanks for the advice I'll stack crit for sure since I'm going all STR/CON.

    I'm think if i try the Sentinel class build I might have to do a STR/CON instead of STR/DEX.
