so i was using the auction house on the gateway and decided to do a little bidding on some enchants with only 15 mins or so left on the timer, it was fun trying to outbid everyone else, and crazy how quick the bids change....but when i log on to my char later and go check the mail i have 180 messages all from the auction house....so now i have to sit for 20 mins to take back every 2 diamond bid and bid increment....just seems like there should be a way to streamline this process.....i mean it was taking so long i just said f it and left the last 20-30 messages in there so i could go actually play the game in the short time i had to.... so just wanted to see if that annoyed anyone else and to point out that this should be looked at and streamlined.

So, you bid say, 2 AD. You get outbid because someone bids 3. You get the email saying you've been outbid.
That email was already sent, no way to recall it.
Meanwhile, yo bid 4, get outbid from someone else bidding 5. Get another email.
And you keep doing it in small increments. Each time you get outbid, you get another email
The 'system' neither knows nor cares whether you are bidding via gateway or in game. The 'system' only knows to let you know you've been outbid, this giving you the opportunity to decide whether you want to increase that bid.
The 'system' doesn't know what you're GOING to do.

I agree with @gotmeens. A threaded-style system, in which you can open all related emails in a thread with a click, would make more sense.
I understand that's not very quick/easy to code, despite the fact that every email-client since Pine has had it pretty well handled, but it's definitely something the UI designers should consider.
EDIT: Or even this

Now, that said.
What's your propose solution?
Add something extra.
I'm bidding X. I'll go to a max of 'Y'. As in, you enter your bid and a max, let the syste automatically increase your bid if someone else bids larger than 'X" and smaller than 'Y'.
And stop sending emails until the 'Y' amount is outbid.

it's not a thread. BId, get outbid, send email. End of event trail.

The term "thread" can also refer to a series of related postings in an online discussion. Like this here thread. I write a post, I hit submit, end of event trail. On the other hand, collecting like-subjects is sensible UI design.

Agreed. Should be able to sort by subject line, click at the top, shift click at the bottom, then 'delete all'.
Ive also noticed quite a bit of auction...glut in my mail even when not bidding, a retrieve all attachment and delete the mail button would be nice. putting auction mail on its own tab would be nice as well. or maybe just getting the money auction components automatically and having a AH log on the Auction interface (similar to the log on zen exchange)
Also when I sell something and I get the whole you sold an item to Person@global for Amount after fees you get netamount
Id actually like to see the item I sold. often I have several items on the market at any given time is it that pink dye I sold or the coffier of enchantments. currently I give all my auctions a slightly different buyout so I can tell the difference. but it would be nice to see you sold a pink dye bottle for ..ect rather than you sold an item,

Try bidding in larger increments.
As is, it's working as intended.
