How to double tap?

Pardon the stupid question, but there appears to be no user manual for the game. What exactly is "double tap"? I assumed it meant double-tab on the mouse, but apparently not.

I know how to teleport (Control Wizard) with the shift key, but not sure if that's the same as double-tapping. The tutorial just says to avoid the red arrows that you double-tap in the direction you want to go in.

Tap the forward key (W by default) twice really fast will trigger a teleport. I disabled that useless feature.

Point at the center of mass and pull the trigger twice.... oh wait, wrong forum.
Hit the w key twice rapidly. :)

You might want to reconsider. This is very useful to get out of aoe bombs vs more powerful mobs and is also useful in pvp. Its only a teleport for the wizard, the others either do nothing (fighters) or roll (rogue) or moonwalk (cleric).

I think it is the same as shift, not 100% sure.

Confirming that double-tap direction and shift+direction do the same thing. I find shift much easier.
