Too messy to heal?

I was wondering if there was a way (or a possibility in the future) for healers to turn on enemy health bars and names. As especially in dungeons with bosses with a lot of spawns the whole area can get very messy and sometimes become very difficult to locate your team members.
I know that team members are a different colour to enemies, but if all you see on your screen is red everywhere it still becomes very difficult.

Many thanks :D

I think you mean "turn off" not "turn on."

I quit playing my healer around level 30 because I was having too much trouble targeting the right people for heals in dungeons and skirmishes. I'd love to play it if they do anything to make the targeting easier.

When it happens, repeat after me

"clump up and LOS me, and you'll end up dead"

Then again, the bulk of your healing is from dealing damage, if you're expecting to manually target healing word every time, you're gonna have a bad time.

But yeah a better UI representation of their hp bars would help.

That's because healing isn't done with direct heals in this game. You use damage mitigation spells like astral shield that also aoe heal people. If you get burst damaged by a boss you need to use a pot.

I focus my heal on attack skills on the biggest enemy in the room. I rarely use my Tab kills because it burns out too fast and wastes time. In the time it takes to heal one player, two or three other have become low on health due to the lack of consistent AOE and point target attack healing. I use sunburst and the angel daily as soon as the cool downs are up.

I can agree with your suggestion though. I hate running dungeons with halfling rogues. They pull allot of agro and are impossible to find in a cluttered fight. Another issue is trying to get someone with a single target heal, only to have another player get in the way and receive the heal.

I know most people don't like someone running out of the fight and jumping, but that is the most effective way for me to find the player with low health. F-key targeting for group members would be nice.

I don't usually heal in an MMO. And by usually I mean never. I find it to be the most boring thing ever. But I like this system of damage amounting to heals. I feel like a dual role player being able to damage and heal. I also don't like DMG meters, but it is nice to come in 1st in healing and atleast 2nd in DMG.

I like what Cryptic has done with the healing class. A little fine tuning could go a long way.

You can go into settings and turn off all enemy health bars and set it to always show group members health bars. This may help you a bit.

Tried to turn on permanently to see party members health bars yet?
And healing with HoT is not that much efficient, try Sun Burst, Bastion of health and Forgemasters flame in divinity mode.

yes I see the partys health always on, I used all the skills available up to 28-29, I've tried them all because I actually have 2 clerics in the high 20's. I know that HoT healing is not efficient if that's all that you do but if you've done the rest then it's nice when you can actually get the regen spell on someone that needs it so somewhat easier targeting would be nice. I also play a 60 tr as my main and I understand that the people have some responsibility to drink their pots, dodge and get our of red spots when they can. All that in mind I feel somewhat responsible if I'm the cleric and someone dies and the lack of targeting does not help so that one issue makes the class much less fun to me as things get to harder levels. I think that I would like it if there was some improvement of any kind to make targeting easier. As one poster above stated the Halfling tr's pull a ton of agro and are tiny so if there's a ton of adds there's little chance of them getting any little bonus spells directly on them.

If you are using targeted heals in groups and dungeon delves, you are just plain doing it wrong.
Use off-the-enemy heals like Astral Seal and Forgemaster's Flame, and AoE heals like Sunburst, Bastion of Health, and Astral Shield.

The HUD section of the interface; health bars can be set to a variety of conditions from "always on" to "only mouseover" and more.
