1. Companion slot. If I purchase and extra active companion slot, will it allow me to have 2 in battle with me or is it just to have more companions in training?

2. If I purchase a companion for 2,000 zen, does it go to lvl 30?

    1. No, you can only ever have one summoned at the time.

    2. the companions max level depends on rarity, later on you will be able to upgrade companions with books.

For now don't bother buying any companions, they barely do any damage and are pretty useless, the cleric is the only one I find good and you get that one for free or 2g which is nothing.
Neverwinter Online Open Beta is an ongoing success

When I go to purchase the companion, is does not show rarity or color. For $20 I would like to think it is a lvl 30 one, can anyone please confirm if it is?

A purple companion can go up to 30 which is the rock elemental and the honey badger.

The picture in the store should have a colored border around it. Green, blue or purple. The ones that can reach 30 will also have a 3rd skill that says it's available once they reach 30.
