its buggy enough without wizards who think they are super smart and try to knock stuff off 24x7
there are situations where it is called for and super useful. there are situations where your better off killing the monsters and it gets very irritating when the group is trying 5x to throw things off and failing
more importantly, PLEASE stop using that knockback spell to fill your action bar. there are 3 other dps and your not even the top dps of the 3 classes, your just ****ing up positioning and aggro
So you say CW are doing low damage and their CC is not worth it, you obviously haven't been grouping with CW that know their stuff, you'll kiss dirt when a CW goes all out on AoE and knows what he's doing he's doing far superior damage than you on packs. So why would you care? If anything it goes faster and smoother that way, if a CW doesn't use the shield knockback to fill the Daily you'll be in big trouble when **** hits the fan and he can't use Singularity especially in the higher tier dungeons.
It may be annoying for you but it takes alot of stress from the cleric and GF if played right, unless you go with those 3 cleric groups where you can just stand in **** and don't get any damage.

Bad CWs really give CWs a bad name though. Most other classes being 'bad' isn't quite as obvious. Died from no heals? Well maybe the cleric was busy. Mob not tanked? Well maybe the GF had some other issues he was handling. Mobs flying all over? Probably the CW.
Was in a group last night with 2 other CWs, every time I'd bring all the enemies together for some AOE goodness the dude would knock them as far away as he could right as the group engaged them.
I am a CW, but I do agree to a point. Yes, it is true that the CW's Ice Storm (Daily AOE) knocks back enemies and throws off targeting, however, it does come in handy when swarmed with mobs and the GF or GWF is overwhelmed. Or if the Cleric is taking too much hate and is about to die? On more than one occasion, I have casted Ice Storm to defend a Cleric in my group and to take hate away temporarily. But, for the most part, I have heard great things from my PVE groups saying how much Ice Storm, Entangling Force, and Conduit of Ice helps when it comes to Elites and mobs.
So, if it helps, take the time to type/ communicate with your group. Tell the CW what you need and what you don't. It will make the dungeons/skirmishes smoother. That way he/she can re-map their abilities, and only use the ones that will help. If they refuse to listen, kick them and get another.
OP needs to change his post since I'm guessing, this is mainly a Repel/Ice Storm gripe.
I never use Repel and I only use Ice Storm for boss dps (the ones with no adds) since I don't have Ice Knife yet. What I do enjoy doing is using Singularity -> Teleport to the middle -> pop Shield -> Singularity pulls them all back in -> tab Chill Strike -> Conduit of Ice. Depending on how huge the mob was when shield popped, I should almost have my daily back up. to repeat the fun.
Note about Singularity that Wizards (and others classes when in PvP) don't realize: Unless you are completely outside of it's AoE, you will get instantly sucked inside the orb right before it explodes. This is handy to know in PvE because it allows you to pop Shield without worrying about the knock-back because the mobs still end up within range. This is extra useful to know in PvP because I've seen far too many players try to slowly walk outside Singularity's slow-pull effect, when a quick double dodge backwards would put you clear of it.
were not talking about technical prowess but sensibility and lack of selfishness.
you can be an excellent wizard in yourself, top dps charts and bring cc when needed
you can still be a selfish prick and throw trash groups all over the place, filling your daily bar, increasing your dps but lowering everyone elses and padding your own meter all the while
this is for the 'good' ****face wizards
there are 'bad' wizards that dont do this ****. rather have them on my team than a 'pro' one that uses this **** to fill his daily bar

Well you're obviously defining 'good' and 'bad' completely different from me :P
I only spam daily when there's an overload of mobs which can't be handled by my team by other means but I always see that they're pulled together after I shield push them so they're cuddled on the spot and stunned.
Sometimes it's essencial to have your daily ready at all times but on normal trash I won't toss them around unless I can push them over a ledge, I will do so.

its those who keep using it on trash groups ****ing up positioning, reducing the overall dps and messing up aggro
