First of all my character is a TR. For secondary ability score I focus on Cha rather than the Str alternative that many others follow. No matter how I add the numbers Str seems to always add more damage than Cha. This is also assuming that you have combat advantage 100% of the time, which is nearly impossible. It just strikes me as a tad odd that the 'chance' damage would contribute less than the 'sure' damage. If this is truly the case, I recommend buffing combat advantage damage that Cha adds. I am not going to complain if it does not change but I want to present my thought on it.
Some numbers! at level 60, all other stats held constant. Scenario A (if combat advantage increases damage by percentage)
Let base damage = 1,000 & combat advantage increase damage by 50%
Assume combat advantage 100% (in this case you would think Cha would contribute more to damage)
In both Scenarios Str gave a larger damage output (damage gap would only increase as base damage is larger). I do not know how the actual calculations goes; for all I know Cha may actually add more damage. I am just posting this thread under the assumption that Str adds more damage even if you have combat advantage 100% of the time. If this is not the case then... oops jkjk.
Yea, I just rerolled thinking Str>Cha>Dex.
But from some of these calculations, it seems maybe Cha isn't working right or as well as expected and Str>Dex>Cha might be in order.

This pretty much works the same way with several classes. Cleric and Wizard being the immediate two. WIS and INT are actually secondary stats; CHA gives you more bang for the buck on those classes as well.

This is the complete opposite of what he just said
On the cleric side... Cleric is pretty much CHA > STR > WIS. WIS has diminishing returns (+Power, +Control Resistance that doesn't do junk), STR is a fairly flat increases (Stamina and Critical chance) but CHA gets exponential returns due to the +recovery effect... why is it that Cleric's "Primary" Attribute is so weak compared to it's secondary? And to make things worse there is actually a feat that increases power based on recovery making CHA even more favourable.
Wisdom needs a buff for cleric to remove the effect of Diminishing returns. One way to do that would be if Wisdom was to boost the healing bonus received from power, say that each point of Wisdom reduced the required amount of power for a +1% healing boost by 1% but this still leaves it weaker than CHA after this since CHA effects all cooldowns... including dailies. An alternative maybe for it to boost the Divinity gain speed.
Am not totally sure, but am stealth build. So almost always 100% of the time with combat advantage and I tested 15str//24cha and 18str/21cha. Am almost sure I was doing more damge with more charisma. Anyway this game really need more clarifications about rules and stats. We are almost all working in a cloud and there is a while that betta is over...
