Pretty much as the title says. The two instances prior to Mad Dragon are really faceroll, and then when you get to Mad Dragon and face the last boss, groups usually just break up.
You can have one or two good players who know how to overcome and adapt to the mechanics of a fight, but with a fight like the last boss, everybody needs to be on their game and know how to react quickly. A fight that hard need to be slowly ramped up to to allow the average player the ability to work towards a difficult encounter. Not from faceroll to facestomp in the span of 1 instance.

I agree, I like the difficulty of the dragon, but it came out of no where.
I'm a bit torn on it. I do like that dragons are always hard, as it should be. Unlike dragons in a certain other game. But the Lair of the Mad Dragon in the normal version seems very over-tuned. The experience is so uninviting that I skip it on my alts, because you need people who play well -- and LFG at that level is not that likely to give you that.
The dragon itself isn't hard really, but the constant spamming of adds is just....
I ran in the dungeon 3 times on lvl 32~ i think? Could never beat him once, and the party always breaks up, and only because we kept getting spammed by all the mobs
I agree, hoping to kill this boss when playing with random players is insanity. You need teamwork and communication and thats
not something you get when you que for dungeon without a premade party. The dragon in itself isn't hard but its the overflow of
adds that make it impossible, hell, even with a level 60 TR it was really hard.
Perhaps ease off a little on the adds.

BASE ON MY EXPERIENCE... the Last boss fight with the dragon is outrageously VERY VERY VERY hard... Iam a Guardian Fighter and I know when and where to block, how long i can block, how much i can block... my damage sucks but my survival and gameplay skill is pretty much very acceptable... however if your fighting the last boss and then adds pops up from nowhere with numbers from 2-5 very strong spell casting adds with 5-10 additional weaker but still strong adds... i don't its reasonable for 5-6 player party... this dungeon is just so outrageously difficult that i SKIP the Dungeon AD quest EVERYDAY since i reach lvl 30... its really a Disappointing thing because i'am only lvl 30+ and this difficulty is like for lvl50-60 end game stage... i hope they will fix this like decreasing the adds and their re-spawn time...coz when you kill 1 add its like another 3 pops up ending up in a carnage of the whole party not mentioning a giant dragon spitting acid and whipping tail! Devs should always remember that this is an ONLINE GAME... this kind of difficulty is for endgame level not mid level..

It's not that hard. I had two failed parties but on the third try we got it right away. The key difference was that everyone in the group knew what to do. Doesn't hurt to gain a few levels before going in, as well.
I agree that the jump from very easy dungeons to this one is a bit big, but this is also how challenging I think final bosses should be. What's the fun in going in and knowing for sure you're going to succeed? Why even play a game if it doesn't challenge your skills and make you try your hardest with your chosen class? Especially in end game. Defeating end game bosses should be rewarding, not in the sense that you can spam them and get all your best gear within a few days. That's not a long-time reward. Surviving a really challening fight and feeling like you did your part, that's a whole lot more rewarding.

I'm glad there are some really challenging encounters in the game, and I'm glad they're dragons.
