Does buying one of the Zen based companions unlock for all characters?

Simple question, if i unlock a companion with zen on one character, does it unlock for all my characters, or must it be purchased separate for each character?

    Nope. They want to charge you for every little thing per character. Companions, bags, bank slots etc. Nothing is account wide except for character slots.

    Some of the mounts are account wide, but that's it.

    Wow, so a 3000 zen, aka 30 dollar companion, is per-character?

    this is a know issue and they are planing to make all companions account wide in a later patch
