Hero of the North founders should get Dire Wolves too...

Don't get me wrong, I think that the $200 founder's pack is very adequate, but I believe making such an investment in a free to play should give someone ALL of the rewards that lower tier investors get.

Flavor wise, panthers don't really fit in with Half-orcs and Dwarves and the like as far as I'm concerned.

Do you think that HotN Founders should get dire wolves as well as panthers or am I full of it?

In a word, no. The packs are and were unique for that exact reason, so that not every single Founder would be the same. We knew what we were buying when we bought it. One of the reasons (other than the main one - I am cheap) that I bought the Guardian pack rather than the Hero pack was that the spider was something I could not RP into many (most/all?) of my characters. Ditto the panther.

I can understand that position as well, but $200 is a weighty investment to make in a product that is not yet finished. I am by no means implying that I am either dissatisfied with my HotN status or that I feel that I was mislead to believe that I would get all of the content from the other packs.

Had I been given a choice between the Dire Wolf or the Panther I would have probably chosen the wolf. Options are the bread and butter of MMO gaming, just would be nice to have more of them.

The Cryptic Solution (TM) to this dilemma is just to buy both!

Thank you for your money and please have a nice day. We can also sell you another companion for the low low price of $50!

If The founder packs had mutual items, there would be no reason for people to buy them both ;)

I'd trade my dire wolf if I could... I really like the look of the panther better, but $200 is a sizable investment for me and one I'm rarely going to make for a game. $60 I could sort of support as it's the cost of a new boxed game and frankly I got tired of large maps which were terribly slow to travel across on a regular horse and pets that capped at lvl 15...
