GFs -- You guys use a Cat, too?

My GF is approaching 30 and I figured that when the cleric caps at rank 15, I may as well get the Cat early on so that he's leveled up properly (with my wizard I got it at 60 and then spent ages leveling it up because I had no quests left).

Just checking if you guys go for the Cat or the Stone? I think at the end the difference is marginal (255 Power vs Crit) since the real benefit comes from the items.
Unsure about skills and feats? Check the Master List of Class Builds!

I love my Cat. Best purchase I ever made in this game. Well, my Armored Bear comes in a close 2nd.

Not to derail the thread (I have also been instructed to use the cat as a GF) but trickshaw, can you please comment on whether the cat can reach 30 like epic companions or is limited to some lesser level cap?

Also, isn't the armored bear an 80% speed mount? Did you spend extra to give it mount 3 training or is there some 110% speed bear I'm missing?

Cat gets to level 25, but can be trained later on when they release companion trading. My cat gives me 1500 crit + 200 on 3 other stats, so why not use the cat? :3

Instead of quests, you can also use leadership and daily blessings to train pets too. Granted still probably slower than using a pet..
