Guardian with 250-300~ ping

I was wondering if there are any players who have a similar ping to mine 250-300 (Australia), who've had some decent experience with the Guardian at end game and can comment on how manageable the class is with end-game PVE and PVP? Does the 500-600ms round-trip-time screw up the ability to respond to incoming attacks properly? Does positional lag prevent you from facing your blocks on quick moving players in PVP?

Advanced thank for any feedback :)

    Hi khadakuraki

Same situation with you also living in Australia... I just feel like I am playing with a bad finger and eye coordination... when i hit block it will block like 1 second later... constant bad ping is costing me HP pots death.

Sometimes i see mobs actually teleport to me as i don't see them walking just a huge leap right at my face and I am already seeing damage...

i just started this game few days ago so I am still a ****. in the mean time I am just guessing on the mob's gesture and block first before it is too late. other random time I will just have to suck it up and get hit...

    Heya ^^

    Aussie player here too.

It's not so bad when you are tanking the big boss by itself. You really need to anticipate when to block by keeping a close eye on his wind up + add an extra second. So instead of getting in that one last hit before your block, just block instead. Safety first I guess.

Different story when you are surrounded by 5 or more elite big hitting mobs. I do get knocked about a lot. You can only do your best. Even when at times, the instance has more lag than usual.

On that subject, am I the only one experiencing a rubberbanding effect when using Lunging Strike? My toon "bounces" back some distance from the mob, sometimes not even damaging it or using up the cooldown. Have reported it, but Cryptic has stated that it's working fine.

Thanks teapotguru. I haven't gotten as far as using Lunging Strike just yet as I haven't had much chance to play since posting so I can't comment on that just yet; shall keep an eye out for it though. Thanks again :)

Though I'm "only" an European and "only" play with 150-200ms, yes I have the same effect sometimes.
You use LS and "charge" like 3-4m forwards, then rubberband back as if nothing happened (I can normally LS directly after and it works).

I'm brazilian and I have 250~300 ms too.

All I can tell you is that if you're having problems with Lunging Strike wait to see Threatening Rush, I'll see yourself going and coming back again and again and again and again...

Anyway I still can play "not bad" at PvP
