PVP Abuse

So I'm noticing a trend today, of people refusing the play PVP. They generally either hang out by the camp, or move somewhere else to avoid conflict. They do this to lose quicker and gain glory faster.

Now, I like how the Glory system currently works. But I think there should be some disciplinary action for users that engage in this behavior. One match I voiced my concerns, and the party leader kicked me out of PVP. Why is that even possible?

It's really ruining the state of PVP, and I'd like to think I'm not alone in this opinion.

The latest guild I ran into doing this repeatedly is called "Always Summer" specifically Silchas, Seterus, and IcyFlamez.

Another group included Cattie Direheart, Star the Hunk, and YuriLowell.

I've been a victim of this as well. The real B*$%^ of it is that even 1-2 ppl down, we managed to put up a good fight and only lost by 300 points. Had we all fought, we would have won.

Need some form of anti-afk and vote-kick systems put in place.

/kick. No, you won't be able to replace the person. But you are stopping them from gaining xp and glory for that particular event. Sure they can queue again instantly but if everyone does it then you'll be stopping him from getting anything.

This will always happen unfortunately when it comes to PvP related content. The only person who can do the kicks is the person who is the group leader.

However; people also abuse that kick feature as myself and others have been kicked from the group when we were 10 points away from winning during the glory boost hour.

They do need to add more things to try and avoid people going AFK. This is where WoW BGs afk report system comes in handy. If you get reported for being AFK, if you do not fight anyone after 1 minute of the report, you are removed from the arena and you are given a debuff, which stops you from queuing for 15 minutes.

There are a few guilds that I've seen abusing this system, but due to naming and shaming policies I will not name them here.

PvP abuse is simply playing the PvP matches in the most effective way for personal victory (most points). Who cares about winning? The goal in PvP is to get the most points regardless of which team wins. 1st place in points yields the blue reward and the most experience (full 45 minute dungeon's worth experience in one 15 minute PvP match 1st place). Whether your team wins or loses doesn't matter. It's actually easier to get the most points if your team is losing because there will be more than just 1 point to repeatedly capture for +300 points.

I've played over 40 matches, and came in 1st place all but 5. I don't even bother fighting anyone as its detrimental to personal victory. Just use all stun/control/knockback abilities on a wizard with all +defense/hp/deflection gear. I intentionally engage enemies and bait teammates into position so neither they nor our enemies get the +tower defense/assault or capture bonuses. It's mean, but I almost always get my blue reward.

The PvP isn't even about PvP. Horrible design.

I've never done it, but it's been tempting until they fix the DC bug. As bad as afkers are, getting your client frozen and having to reload is even more annoying. If it happens more than once a match, i report them for exploiting.

No, it's working as a team, how it should be.

What's that bug?!, it has happened to me a couple times, one winning and my client froze?. How I can get rid of it?, PvP has been a bad experience for me, I wanted to enjoy it, don't care about honor or gear just wanted to enjoy that part of the game, on level 60, only few matches have been 5 vs 5, I usually have an afk or a leaver in my team, if you kick the leaver before the match starts it gets another player, if not, you are in trouble, why a lousy system like that?. Also I realized ppl may not be afk, once I entered the party, they talked I wasnt there and in fact, I was in town, the match started and I got bugged out of it. Pvp as a system, sucks, is bugged and that makes ppl don't care about it. Which is sad as it may be fun, I hope they fix it and add more modes in the future.

Doh.."loose." Yeah, I was writing that while taking a screenshot and talking on mumble and "fighting."

I'd really just like to see the GMs get on this issue. The attitude people have really ruins it for those of us who enjoy PVP.

If it's not your cup of tea I understand. I think it could stand some improvements but it certainly has its moments.

Edit: And as for kicking them, I'd love to, but I'm not always party leader =/
