How can I give away Zen or Astral Diamonds?

I want to give some Zen or Astral Diamonds to a friend in the game.

How do I accomplish this?

    I would like to know this too. I tried giving my friend some AD yesterday, and couldn't figure out how to do it.

    You don't. Not being able to trade zen/ad will probably keep a lot of the gold spammers at bay.

    I suspect the answer is to have your friend put up a trash item on the auction for the amount you wish to give them, and then you buy their item. Zen would require conversion to AD first, then the auction thing and then have them convert it back.

    Basically this.

    And overall it's a good thing, even if it comes at the cost of being able to give some AD to a friend.

    There are many ways around AD problem. the Zen problem is simple. buy it from the store and trade it. There are some exceptions with this. You can also buy a Perfect World card from nearly any retailer and pm the digits to your friend.
    Open the Launcher. Click Options near the top. Check Disable on-demand patching. This will download another couple of gigs.

    Ability Scores || All Attribute Roll Combinations || My Cleric Stream \o/

    limited trading currency in an mmo? What good is there about that?

    Horrible system at the moment and very ppor way of dealing with AD sellers.

    You can't "Trade Zen"! That's the problem!!

    And I already have the Zen and Astral Diamonds...I don't want to go out and buy a Zen card and give him the code. I want to give him some of what I currently have. I thought I was pretty clear about that!?

    the AH takes a cut of the sale, so your friend will never recieve the full amount of ADs you want to give him. the game will swallow a chunk of them.

    basically, if your going the zen->ad->buy something in the AH from him, your literally throwing some money down the drain

    The auction method is the only workaround I've found for this so far

    Please don't necro old threads. Kelemvor would not be pleased. And we don't need another Valindra running around the forums.

    As a reminder, please review the Extended FAQ. Using the AD exchange to trade AD or ZEN between separate accounts is not an allowable use of the Exchange. However, trading between characters on the same account is permitted.
