Queue System

As it is, the queue system is very nice, but it lacks some must have features imo. Such as an approximate wait timer. Cause right now, when you queue for a dungeon, you can wait 10, 30 or 80 minutes, you never know, and it's quite annoying going in blind. There should be an approximate wait timer added to it, so we at least know where we're at.

They need to allow you to choose whether or not you want to be in a balanced party, or the first party available (or choose what sort of classes you want in the party, via checkboxes. the people that are picky will wait longer, the people that are not, will not).

Bam. Queue problems solved (there are tons of GWF & Clerics, not so much GF).

They also gotta allow for replacements while in a dungeon. It absolutely sucks when you're almost at the boss and the healer DCs and never comes back and there's no way to replace him. RIFT probably has the best queue system in any game, ever, and I wish they'd bring that here.

And like someoneod mentioned, the option to have a balanced team is a must. You can clear up to the last boss without a problem with just cleric companions, but most, if not all, final boss encounters need a real cleric. I did an Epic dungeon yesterday without a cleric and probably spent a good 30+ pots on the final boss alone to kill him.

I've found that unless you swap leader around, groups fill almost instantly when someone leaves. The only time we've had issues refilling is when the leader is changed after someone DC's, it seems to drop you from the queue.

What happens if 2 people in your group leave and you want to requeue to get 2 more people? We're in this situation right now in a dungeon, all waiting outside final boss room and lost 2 DPS. Any way to replace them?
Lost both along the middle of the run around, and it's not too bad but we're unable to 3 man this guy. So here's to hoping if someone knows how to snatch 2 more folks.

Sounds like a good idea. People should have the option to choose if they want the trinity (tank, healer, DD) or just any party, if they're up for the challenge. Also, not knowing when you're supposed to enter the dungeon/skirmish/PvP kinda sucks, since you don't know if you have time to do something else in the meantime.

All of the above are good suggestions as well. Hopefully PW will listen to the feedback and change it asap.

Outside of the invite and manual entry for non epic dungeons, it can't be done.

Devs should also make pvp and pve queues separate- so joining one doesnt kick you out of the other.

Would be nice to be able to pvp when waiting for a dungeon queue. As it stands, joining both is basically just queuing for pvp as that queue almost always pops first.

Don't agree at all, I think both pve and pvp have enough quitters as is. We dun need even more reasons for people to leave in middle of everything.

Maybe if they combined queues cross-server, the wait time could be helped.
Also, I wonder about the real setup of the queue and how it works. I've queued as tank and cleric together, needing only 3 dps, and the wait time was over 5 minutes. I know that is really short compared to my 30+ minutes waiting on my control wizard, but it seems like it should be an instant queue considering all the waiting dps out there.

I believe the queue is 1 guy in a grotty basement receiving postcards with the players request on & manually sorting them however he feels like, then once he has a party, he scans the postcards and pushes one of 2 buttons Start or Randomly disperse the party!

The only valid explanation for a full party waiting 20mins and not getting a dungeon during the event timers.
