Control Bonus/Resist and Wisdom

I have been searching the internet for a couple days now trying to find solid information on how Wisdom functions in combat. More specifically > Control Bonus and Control Resist.

I play a control wizard and I have yet to find a mob or player that can resist my CC.

1. Can anyone give clear insight to how Control Bonus/Resist functions mechanically in game?
2. What are the advantages with having High Control Bonus vs Low Control bonus?
3. Do these stats differ in PvE vs PvP?

You can't resist the spell outright. You lower the damage or the control effect of it. But the spell will always damage and immobilize/ministun you.

But resisting the Control portion is what he's asking about, Darknight. Do you have some insight into that?

If you have 20 WIS - then you have 10% resist to the control effect (every point >10 increase resist to control by 1%).
So if something stuns you and lasts 1 sec it will effect you for 0.9secs...Wisdom is so OP ).
If you can get 110 Wisdom you will reduce the effect 100%. I don't think that is possible.
However you wanted some simple math so here it is...
