So 100 days of playing or $50 bucks per lvl 60 item?

I was looking at some Astral Diamond vendors, and noticed the cost of level 60 pieces of armor and weapons are around 2.4 million AD. So if you can refine 24K AD a day, we are talking 100 days of play just for 1 piece of gear via AD? Or assuming the 500:1 exchange rate, approximately 4800 Zen per item. Which is nearly $50 bucks per item.

Are there more viable and faster ways to obtain end game gear than this? Because it seems getting armor via AD is pretty absurd.

I would think there would be dungeon gear at endgame? Trade tokens in for gear like in every mmo. If im wrong someone please tell me so i can quit the game now.

These are pieces of gear that are for cosmetics only. Higher quality gear can be obtained using Seals of the Dragon or Seals of the Unicorn, which have no daily limit on their acquisition.

Um, possibly try running endgame dungeons?

Ok cool. Just wondering how many different avenues we have at end game to obtain gear. The AD route seems pretty rough.

There are other ways to get A.D. in this game. Crafting, and the A.H., for example. Some people are playing the market for HUGE A.D. rewards. I don't find that an amusing diversion myself, but I have no problem with those who do, they keep the in game economy from stagnating.

The AH is definitely the way to go. The AD from the AH does not need to be refined and people are willing to spend it rather easily so far.

This right here. That AD gear is interesting looking, but you can do dungeons for seals. Unicorn seals are tier 1, drake are tier 2, and you can run heroic dungeons over and over if you want. I ran three or four so far in two days, and almost have enough for an item. Thankfully, heroic dungeons here don't seem to have a lockout, and the first two are a breeze. I've already seen people in full unicorn gear, probably grinding with guild.

There are also purple sets that drop in the epics, but i have no idea which ones or where, and people have been putting them up on the AH for cheaper than the gear in the AD vendor, just so you know.

    Regarding Astral Diamonds aspect:

I am getting AD all over the place... quests, Gateway Crafting, Invoking. Hell, I got 80,000 AD in ten seconds by winning two "Jeweled Idols" in a couple lockboxes (you sell the Jeweled Idols to Rhix for 40,000 a piece).

A lot of bonus chests (the hidden ones, not the super chests) will have astral diamonds also. So don't just run willy-nilly through quests - take your time and search around, look for those treasure chests. They are very often really well hidden. I found a few in Neverdeath entirely and I do mean weirdly by total freakish accident. And those are the ones with amazing loot.

You have to understand that if end game gear is worth 2 million, that means if you find a piece of awesome gear that you cant use, someone else will pay you 2mil for it....which you use to buy the one you can use.

This doesn't seem that off to me, particularly since there are other ways to get equipment. My previous F2P MMO experience is 2 years of Uncharted Waters Online, and most of the high end players had budgets for the game numbering in the thousands every few months. Go figure, that's why the game was free for me...

High priced items for those who are wiling to pay for it allows for the model of free for those who aren't willing to pay. No one is holding a gun to the head of the peoples dumping tens, hundreds, thousands of dollars on the game, so... Where is the harm?

DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT buy AD gear. It's not worth the AD when similar or even better gear can be DROPPED.
ALSO. There is more efficient ways of getting end game gear and that's by running Epic Dungeons and getting Seals of the Unicorn to purchase level 60 Very Rare Tier 1 gear.
